If you even do..? I am thinking about changing my blog layout.. Im someone who likes change a lot. I cant have something the same way for very long. But does this present problems? I mean, does continually changing my blog appearance make it unsettling for followers? Just a question

I change headers frequently (roughly monthly) and I change my theme from time to time as well.

No.
This is the approach I use when I make a change. Take a very close look at your own blog theme and/or a new one you are considering using then evaluate it based on the following 12 points. The word “effectiveness” is the key word when assessing the following points:
(1) Is it search engine friendly? Does it validate? validator.w3.org/
(2) How readable is the content? (background color, font colors, styles and sizes etc.)
(3) How useful are the sidebars?

(4) How will readers find your best content?
(5) How is the quality of design compared to other blogs/sites in the same niche?
(6) How is the color scheme?

(7) Is the theme unique?
(8) How quickly does it load?

(9) Does it quickly communicate to new visitors?
10. Is the comment section inviting?
(11) Are static pages being used effectively for content that rarely, if ever, changes?
(12) How intrusive are the ads?

Thank you timethief, I am in the process of updating my sites and your response earlier was most helpful.

Neverrrrr. It's the only of the available templates that I like. Unless something better is made available, I'll stick to good ol' Redoable Lite.
I have changed the header, though. Once. -
I thought about changing my Wordpress theme with something more flexible, but my column width would change. My blog has a narrow column. That would mess up my posts, since I used a lot of graphics and carefully placed those to fit. I tried another theme, and everything looked terrible. Do I want to go back and redo every post to look right? Maybe, but not during the summer. Summer is for fun, not for blogging!

well good for you..i mean the way i look at it is that you don't see actual websites changin their layout a lot of times, i know it has to with branding and having that certain look that identifies that site as being solely yours. I redid mine so hopefully I stick with it because i really don't wanna keep changin it

I just recently changed the layout of my blog, The Times Observer.
I went back to school last fall for Web design and I finished up my certificate this past May.
I had been using Blogger for years about after some problems with it, and since I did go back to school to learn Web design, I decided to change the whole look of it. Check it out and please let me know what you think of it.
And if you do change your blog, please let us know! -
I keep changing mine until i find ones i really love. I think my one blog has gone through 4 different layouts in 3 months. But i think i finally found the layouts i'm going to stick with.
