How often do you update your blog?

I try to update mine a couple times a week. I find it's too much if I blog daily. I wish I could.

I update my two blogs registered here 2-3 times weekly. As my health improves my posting frequency will also improve and rise to 3 times weekly.
I disagree with those who state that every blog MUST be updated every day. I've been around for awhile and based on my experience blogging regularly is important but blogging every day in most niches isn't.
Also my stats show that the number of visitors I have on weekends is far fewer than the number I have on weekdays.-

@tt i agree with you, its good to update your blog only in that frequency by which you will be able to put up quality stuff.
even though i update my blog daily because i have time, but when i was busy then i often updated my blogs once a month.
i think it depends on how much time you have in hand, and if blogging is your hobby or not. It is my favourite timepass so i always squeeze out some time for it. -
Monday, Wednesday and Friday for my humor blog.
Sunday and Wednesday for my thrifty decorating blog.
I think keeping the schedule helps me remain motivated, as well as helps out my readers. -
Not enough, alot are reviews and it can take a while to finish them. -
I have been updating daily. I currently have the time but I hope to be able to keep adding something each day. -
Actually it depends upon the category of the blog. In my case, I write short stories in golporkhata.blogspot.com about lives around me in my blog. So, as it is a kind of creative writing stuff, I don't have a proper schedule to update my blog. -
I just update when I feel like, it has to stay something fun to do so no update scheme's for me. -
Monday - Friday (only sometimes at the weekend) -

Well, I guess I should qualify that... as I have guest bloggers, I go in often to assure the quality of posts. So, not all the updating I do are my own personal posts... but I am constantly checking it.

I've been trying daily and it's been working well. My friends say they don't like posting daily because it doesn't give readers time to read you. I think they can always check the archives if they are really into reading.-

from an SEO perspective tell your friends to shove it. The more content you write, the more organic traffic google will send your way.
If you have a small private blog that only a handful of people are supposed to know about then fine.

really? I am too tired after dealing with my students all day, and today I was literally doing paper work from 11am to 9 pm ughhhhhhhh -
When I have something to say...last month, I had 16 posts; this month, so far, only 3.-

Depending on which blog it is...
My personsal blog I keep update weekly (unless theres something I really have to get out-it may be day to day)
My training blog bi monthly -
I try and update daily. It is very hard to do this. -
I prefer to blog every day, but it isn't always possible. A few times a week at least -

I try to update them once or twice a week. -
I tried blogging 2 or 3 times a week, then for a couple of months daily and I didn't see that it made much difference. So now I am trying once a week and so far my stats are almost the same. I may change it back to twice a week but right now I want to see if doing once a week for a couple of months makes much of a difference. -

Whenever I have something to say, or have seen a web site or blog post that I want to remember and share with others.
Originally a blog was a web log -- a log of web sites visited, with comments on them. -
I try to everyday, but my life really isn't that interesting. -
I update my blog two or three times a week. Quality, of course, carries more weight than frequency and I rather post when I've something good at hand, than just because I've to do it.
Having said that, it does help that I have a bunch of friends willing to contribute quality content every now and then. That way, I get good content from various sources, each with a different perspective. -
What I do is to advance post so I have something new everyday. In Blogger, it's Post Options; I don't know about WordPress. Let me share with you a tip I learned the hard way. To sked a post for, say, Sunday, you have to have an entry for the day you post; otherwise, your intended article for another day will be posted on that day. -
i post around 3 -4 post daily during the intital state.. but now only 1 post per day.. quite tired when posting as u need to think of your content.. www.lemongraphic.net

I wish everyday.. But the motivation to blog something somewhat interesting doesn't strike me that often so, maybe once a week sometimes twice.. But hey I am fairly new to blogging..

Every weekday - just started three weeks ago. Thinking of going to just 3 times a week. Glad to hear others experience decreased traffic on weekends - thought there would be more then. -
I started off just posting once a week or even less, then when I decided to monetize the blog I posted daily for a while. Now it's every other day. I might post more regularly or less regularly, depends on how I feel. -

Once in a blue moon -
The question should be…how long does it take to write a blog. Myself, it takes time to ponder, then write, then edit. A simple post is not so simple. It requires musing and then expression of our pondering. Blogging takes time. -
Other than the weekend, I normally update a minimum of twice a day.
I imagine how often a person would update often has to do with the type of blog they have.
My (main blog) is simple opinion of various political news stories that catch my attention. Being that I read, listen and watch news nearly all day long, the odds of me catching something I want to blog are fairly high. -
Can I update once a week? Please advice from yours -
its really hard for me to update my blog.. coz i really need to try the program before posting it.
i want to be a reliable blogger. the answer would be every 2 weeks, sad but its true.

We update our Onesuite Blog about 3-5 times a week. We try to post quality articles a much as possible. -
Since Jan'09 I tries to update almost daily (5-6 time a week) -

I've posted a solid entry every day since my blog started. That's 45-odd days right now. I'm not sure if I'll continue this indefinitely, but I'm surprised how well it's going; I'm loving the writing, I'm proud of the content, and I have a slowly growing readership. Couldn't be happier.

I update daily. I try to get a bunch started or complete so during the week I can just publish them. I have a photo blog though so it's mostly photographic content that I too. I'm always taking photos and if time is tight and I need a blog I'll do a one photo post for the day. But it's still a post. -

I try to not go longer than 3 days without updating. Keeping your blog fresh will keep your readers following and hopefully attract new ones. Update too often and it's too much pressure on yourself and not often enough and your blog becomes stale. -
I usually update my blogs on everyday basis but sometimes due to hectic schedule at the office I sometimes do it on a weekly basis but nevertheless I blog on a regular basis. -

We publish three to four times a week. That seems to be enough to get consistent traffic. More would be too difficult to maintain. Quality content is important too. Some people can do this every day, not us. -

Thrice a week. The need for well thought out articles requires that i limit my posts to three posts every week. Besides i am busy with other stuffs that are equally time consuming.

I usually do about 5 or 6 a week...I have a few that are weekly staples, on top of whatever other crap comes up. And there is plenty of other crap that comes up, trust me! If I could, I would post more though...I still have things that I can't finish writing because there is always something going on to write about that is time sensitive. But at least I never run out of things to blog about! -
Yeah when writing a blog or any website . Content is KING. Now you can just post everything you can get your hands on , but qualtity content will help you to drive traffic to your site faster. Also depend on what your blog is about.
ORGINAL QUALITY CONTENT. Cause once your readers get there you want to keep them there and keep coming back. -
