I was just wondering how old are we? We all share the same passion for blogging but how different are we when it comes to age?

I am 25 and getting older day by day!

  6. lordlikely
I was born in 1815, so that makes me...(Counts on fingers)...192 years old!

And I am looking rather well on it, too.
  7. souldrift
    I turned 20 in May!
  8. Nim
    I'm 37.

I'm 22 ... but, I've been counting backwards ever since my 33rd birthday - pretty soon I'll be a teenager again! WooHoo!
    1. awannabe
I'm not good with math unfortunately...
    2. scorpy01
I think that makes him 44? So far I'm still the old broad of the board.
    3. ender
ewww, who'd wanna be a teenager again???? they're all angsty and stuff
    4. PetLvr
      that's right scorpy 1963 era

You may now choose either Door #1 Door #2 or the suprise box in front of Door #3
    5. scorpy01

chronologically i was born in '68, will turn 39 in november, and have my 20 year high school reunion coming up in october...

however, my other half claims i'm 8. i would have said 11, but she usually wins these things as all my other friends point out how well i get along with the 5-9 crowd.

(very different from the 9 to 5 crowd, with whom i rarely get along well.)

  11. pauliusuza
    I'm almost 22
  12. Norski
I was born in 1951, which would put me in my mid-fifties, or thereabouts.
  13. amitschan
28 and no, I don't wanna grow younger coz I already look like 19 and that's FRUSTRATING!! I have no gf coz all the girls around me think I am too cute for them
  14. SueatFNMusings
I'm as old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth.
    1. RobSellen

41, despite what my profile says.
  16. clioandme
The only person who's got me beat so far is Scorpy --- and Lord Likely, but I'm not sure how much faith I can put in his statements.
    1. monkeytale
I may have you topped, but I'm not so sure it's something I should brag about.

      yanno....

Carbon dating isn't an exact science.

      :))
    2. scorpy01
Brian has you beat, too. He's older than I am, by a few years.
    3. clioandme
I missed Brian. Don't know how.

Mikster, if you do, that's not a bad thing. FYI, I was six when I saw Nixon's first inauguration on black and white TV. I was about eleven when he resigned. And I was some thirteen years old when I watched our embassy in Saigon being evacuated by helicopters.
    4. clioandme
These memories make me wonder what our president, who was a young adult, was doing. Not paying attention to the news or reading history, that's for sure.
    5. monkeytale
lol...yeah...I was 8 when Nixon was inaugurated the 1st time. And I'm pretty sure it was in black and white tv as well. Ahhhhh....the memories.
    6. ender
lol stoneman ... i'm sure he was trying to pick out the words in an Archie comic.
    7. monkeytale
Don't be such a parade pisser ender....ya doofus. And Archie rocked...or something.
    8. ender
stoneman is the one who said he was not paying att'n to the new or reading history ... i simply filled in the blanks.

besides, how could i piss on a parade i didn't see???? i missed that inauguration.
  17. RobSellen
    35... Looking younger though! ;o)

    Feeling 25! :o)

  19. wordjunky
Awww. Aren't y'awll cute, complaining about being in your 20s and 30s and all.

I was born in Jan. of 1950. I think that is the oldest so far, except of course for Lordlikely. That makes me a gen-u-ine "boomer", so you folks work hard now - I'm gonna need the Social Security cash before you know it. heh.
    1. scorpy01
Yep. There's a handful of us Boomers here. I think it ran, officially, from 46 to 64.
  20. MeghnaK
12, Am I going to get the award for being the youngest here?
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
I'm pretty sure you'll win for the youngest at 12!

Though we DO have a few people whose avatars are toddlers. :-)
  21. jaytwo77
I just turned 19 last Aug. 22. Wow. Belated happy birthday to me!! =)
  22. bloggingmix
I'm turning 24 comes november. But most of my colleagues think I'm teenager. You think so?
  23. lupideloop
    Must I???

Oh heck... here ye go: 38, turning 39 in 2 months time.

    Aaargh
  24. crpitt

    1. lupideloop
      Aw shucks!! :-(

I'm 38 but feeling 25 (mentally errm... maybe 5.. lol)
    2. crpitt
your as old as the man you feel! lol!
    3. crpitt
I have aged since this discussion first started, you may have seen a thread about it?

      lol.
  25. bnsullivan
Ha ha -- I'm the senior citizen here (save, perhaps for lord likely). I'm 60.

(Sorry to usurp your tiara, Marisa.)

    Now, all of you guys be nice to this old lady -- you know, help me across the street or something. ;-}
  26. clioandme
How does 60 qualify you for senior citizenry? That's a mere 15 more years than I have.
    1. bnsullivan
Where I live, I can now get 'senior citizen discounts' at quite a few places, actually.

Funny story about that -- One place where I sometimes shop gives discount cards (for something like 5% off) to people 55 and older. One day my daughter and I were checking out, and I mentioned the discount to the cashier. I asked, "Would you like to see my card?" He said, "No that's okay." So I said, "Ah, you can tell I'm old enough just by looking at me then." The poor lad first blanched and then got VERY red in the face. "No, no! It's not that at all. I didn't mean to imply that you look old... I just trust you, that's all. Really!" Poor bugger. Really freaked him out.
    2. scorpy01
HA! I'll bet he learned a valuable lesson that day!
  27. ThriftShopRomantic
    35. Though I'm reminded of my mom's favorite saying when her age would come up. She'd tell people she was "plenty-nine".
    1. bnsullivan
I like that. Mind if I borrow it? It's so much nicer than "old as dirt" -- which I have said on occasion.
    2. ThriftShopRomantic
Ha, be my guest. Though "old as dirt" does have a certain amount of flair. :-)
    3. bnsullivan
Yeah, one of the advantages of being old as dirt -- you can get away with being 'crotchety.' LOL
  28. justicenotblind

  30. therealshari
Good grief! Y'all are just pups, yet.

I'm on the leading edge of boom, 'cause my daddy got home from the Big War (that's WWII) a month earlier than most.

Just in case your math skills are a little rusty, I'm 61. That gives me double status... Senior Citizen and Boomer!
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
"The leading edge of boom..." What a great line! :-) I want to remember that one, that's excellent.
    2. wenfri
Leading edge of boom That is totally different and love it

      Well stated

Only a year left then I am 30 (officially an adult in my eyes... 20's is a write off)

    GULP
    1. clioandme
Well, if 30 doesn't do it, motherhood certainly will. In my case, 30 and fatherhood happened in the same year.
  34. bsangel
31, which may officially qualify me as an adult but my behavior certainly doesn't!
  35. AboutPaula
I turned 24 a couple of weeks ago. Its all gone a bit fast though, I swear I was 20 last month!
  36. homeschoolzoo
I'm 55, and it seems like more of us baby boomers are getting in on the blogging game every day! Yay us! Scorpi, I can't take that tiara. Looks like there are a few others to pass it on to.

  39. annamade
I just turned 27. People keep looking at me and saying, "Oh, you're just a baby!" I thought being a baby was being two or under, but apparently I was wrong.

  53. sholyboy89
i think im the youngest round here im a teen
  54. jackpayne
I've got to be the oldest around here. I'm as old as dirt, 81. I don't buy green bananas.

I recall clearly the Great Depression. I remember the bread lines, the soup kitchens, the deperation, the desolation. I recall British Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain's return home from his meeting with Hitler in Munich in 1938 (radio news report) with the joyous words, "We have peace in our time." Then World War II starting 1 year later when Hitler's Panzer's stormed into Poland. I recall rationing, blackouts, my going into the armed forces on Aug. 15, 1945, the very next day after the Great War ended. On and on. On and on.

    I'm a walking history book.
    1. iriegal
Ha Ha, more like a wealth of knowledge. Have you written any books Jackpayne on your travels in life so far?
    2. wenfri
I commend you for serving your Country My Dad was WW11 vet as well and he is a walking talking History book too LOL

Now if I could convince him to get online at 85 I would be doing well

  59. peacebella
I am not bordered by age unless you are looking for someone to go to bed. Even so, I would think someone in the age of 40s can be childish and know nothing much if compared to a person younger like you. Get what I mean? I am older than you for sure. I just blogged about this ". I had walked almost half of my life journey." at www.yrmanna.com/2007/12/16/introduction-to-yrmannacom/

That would answer your question, but it is not a way to comfort myself as age is catching up. Who can remain stagnant and maintain youth forever?
  60. lenky
    I am 20 years old ^_^

    Next question:
How old do you think of yourself as? Physical age rarely matches emotional age! I think of myself as early thirties. 31 / 32.

They say my body is 52 years old, but my mind says it is 18 and it anchored it at 18 never to rise after.
  91. Floormodel
It depends on who you ask, if you ask my son then I'm older than dirt, if you ask my Mother then I'm a youngster, and if you ask the kid at the grocery store then I'm young enough to get proofed but old enough to call Ma'am.

But if you ask me I'll say I'm the perfect age for who I am right now, 45 year old me.
  92. ArsenicCookies
    Just turned 25
  93. Pulpaddiction
It all depends on who you talk to. Por example, you get those 40 somethings in pink tracksuits, dressing like their daughters - eternally 17. Never ask them their age.
    Me? 18.
