  2. crpitt

I would have to tip my head back to see your eyes. My husband is 11 inches taller than I so I stand on a chair or a few stairs up, to talk face-to-face!

Good question - not important, maybe, but quite interesting.

I'm male, I used to be five feet, eight inches tall. I'm now a bit shy of five feet, seven inches: partly, I think, due to adjustment made when I had my hip joints swapped out.

(I grew up in 'Norwegian country' in western Minnesota: and had become accustomed to looking people straight in the collar. Then I moved to the edge of San Francisco's Chinatown.)
    1. Theresa111
Ouch on the hip adjustment. All better now?
    2. acousticguitarist
wow, you shrunk.. we'll blame Terje Rypdal
  18. Norski
Interesting: just glancing over the stats, it looks like the range is right around five feet to five feet eight - with an individual at six feet one inch.

If my memory serves, that's right around the middle of the bell curve for quite a few parts of the world.

I'm shrinking rapidly. I used to be 5'9" (back in my day no one was over 6 foot tall and there was no such thing as a size 14 sneaker.) I'm not sure how tall I am now - maybe 5'7"
    1. acousticguitarist
      eat more celery
  21. calais50
The average height of an American woman is 5'4". For a man it's 5'10". I am 5'8"
    1. Theresa111
In no way could you ever be considered average.
  22. Floormodel
I'm not the shortest BCer am I?
  23. russianmodels
I'm 6'2 but I thought men were like 6'0 average so never considered myself taller.
    1. Theresa111
I really like tall people. Once there was a man over SEVEN FEET TALL standing next to me in an elevator! He had to bend down to go through the door and his head almost touched the paneling of the ceiling. I just kept staring and smiling ... staring and smiling. He smiled back. No words were necessary.
  24. sjay
    lol this sounds fun

    I am 5' 9"
  25. Kasumi
    Female 5.9 and a bit
