Hi, I'm just wondering...how did you guys get more reader for your blog? I understand that joining blog communities, blog traffic exchange site, search engine optimization, write some quality content that will attract more readers and such. But the question is, how do we get more readers for a new, new, new...site...yea, I'm talking about a few-days-old blog. Like my site here, www.iseetech.com Because a new site takes time for the search engine/spider to crawl in, and we can't really join traffic exchange site like blog explosion or blog rush if the site is too new.

The site looks "quiet" and posts with no comments etc... So, what did you guys do, still remember? Any tips to share?

    Comments.

Commenting on other RELATED blogs, and making quality additions to the conversation drives a lot of traffic.

Find the top 10 blogs in your niche. And make good, well thought out comments there.

Oh ya, nearly forgot about that
its a good practice to comment on other's site cuz the site owner will probably visit back in return and leaving our link there is good for search engine back-linking too

      thanks for reminding

also, a good way to garner traffic is to visit forums, participate in the conversation, and make it relevant. Be sure to leave your URL in your signature. political forums are really good for this, but dont just comment if you arent ready for open dialog.

Find blogs you enjoy and make relevant comments, not just comments to get visits. Get to know other bloggers by visiting their blogs. And don't use your url in comments here ... it annoys people, not to mention against the TOS.

The best way is to read other peoples blogs, leave comments and invite them to see your blog and do the same...

Post Post Post Post Post Post ... in the mornings ... and
Post Post Post Post in the evenings.
    Seven days a week.
    for 3 months.

In those posts - make at least 10 of them really resourceful, long (or stages) and promote them as your top posts.

Make sure your wordpress is pinging all the sources in your Settings/writings (like pingomatic, technorati, google, feedburner, and other RPC's) and set up feedburner feedsmith redirection and set up extra pinging inside there in the optimize section.

I've got a couple of blogs that get 700 a day between them, they are about acoustic guitar, one started in October last year, the other about august

I now have an electric guitar one, electricguitarist.net I'm not even worrying about get lots of visitors yet, I'm just building it and I know that in a period of time it will have maybe 500 a day when I get the content right and take all the logical steps to get it to work.

There are other ways like writing sensational stories and putting them in the right place to be noticed on the web or beautiful nude women, but really that sort of stuff hasn't got much of a life span.

Why the hurry, it'll happen if you work sensibly and have something of value.

Try technorati. Article submission is a good way. And blog consistently.

As everyone here already mentioned read others blogs, comment on them and also try to exchange a lot of back links with those blogs. So that everyone who reads their blog may have a look at your as well.
But make sure that back link with only relevant blogs

Join Entrecard and drop on others blogs. Blogs are listed by category here so you can easily find other blogs that are related to yours. Many will return your drops and if you content is interesting, may add you to their favorites and visit regularly. It really gave my blog a huge boost when I joined and I've met a lot of other nice bloggers along the way.
