   Basic whitehat SEO is not mysterious. What I think is critical is publishing high quality, unique content regularly, because when properly used, SEO will produce a flow of organic (unpaid) traffic from the big three search engines and others as well.

   I returned with some more information for you. If your blog ranks well in Google, then you might not get Yahoo top ranks. The reverse is also true if yout blog ranks well in Yahoo! then you might not rank well in google. (Only few top traffic sites are exception and their owners spend a lot on SEO, $3000 to $10000 USD per month.)
   
   In business it takes money to make money. When registering with Yahoo if you have do not have a business site and pay the fee, then you will be waiting in a lengthy queue to get your site registered and indexed. Yahoo frequents sites more than Bing but less than Google but will dramatically increase visits after submission. siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit
   
   If you do have a business then I recommend that you pay the $300 and your blog will be registered and indexed very promptly.
   
   Exception: All free hosted wordpress.com blogs are promptly registered and indexed by Yahoo. They are included in DMOZ automatically. Also XML sitemaps come as an automatic feature with all free hosted wordpress.com blogs. The blogger does nothing. The software does it all.
