the only way i guess you can get money through a blog is Adsense or someother Advertising website.
Ya, this is the blogcatalog forum, just keep posting messages, comment in blogs. This way, they'll pay you back for your efforts and visit your site.
Also submit it to blog search engines. Here's a list of them:

Hello !
The question in the title of your discussion post - I have already posted a reply to a very similar question along the same lines as the main question you're asking [ in another discussion-post/thread ], so I'm just going to copy and paste my other reply for you here [ I have not browsed your blog yet, so I don't know which, if any, of the following strategies you may have already utilized ] :
If you have web-presence anywhere else on the internet, you could set-up a 'My Links' List section on the side-bar of your blog to let people know where else you have a page on internet. Now, on each of those external pages, you create a link back to your blog, to drive the traffic back. Also, join other Blog/Network sites like MyBlogLog.com, BumpZee.com, Wink.com, etc. There are others as well, that I may not remember off the top of my head right now. Also, submit your blog to various Blog Directory indexes - You'll find links-to these on the side-bars of everybody elses blogs !
* On MyBlogLog.com and BumpZee.com, add the Recent Visitors Widget to your Blog like you've done with BlogCatalog.
* Utilize RSS : Put an RSS Graphic Symbol somewhere on your blog to indicate making use of RSS. You can create free RSS Feeds at FeedSweep.com ( to Display your RSS Feeds on your other pages ). FeedSweep.com will automatically update your Feed-list when you post a new item on your blog. Then join a service like AddtoAny.com which will enable other people to Subscribe to your RSS Feeds. From AddtoAny.com, put a Subscribe Button on your Blog page to enable visitors to subscribe to your page content via RSS. Feedburner is another service worth considering.
* Add Interactive elements on your Blog page. Add a TagBoard/Shout-Box, Live-Chat-Box ( e.g. GoMeebo.com ), create Links to any Instant Messengers that you might use e.g. MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Skype, AOL-Aim, etc.;
Put an email-like message or feedback form on your blog to allow people to leave you messages when they visit your blog. These messages will be sent to your email address via a PHP script.
* Use StatCounter.com and ShinyStat.com to track visitors to your Blog.
I have seen many people say to comment on other peoples' blogs, as well as replying to other peoples' comments which apper on your own blog. I think it's fair to agree with this practice.
* In Addition : If you choose to employ RSS and Feeds, Try to give your blog-posts 'catchy' titles - concise, but targeted ! Use words and terms that will get peoples' attention, as the title of a post is almost one of the most important elements of an item on an RSS-Feed.
Regards,
. . . . Richard. -

There are many ways to generate traffic one of them is by joining discussions like this, submit article to article directory with a link back to your blog, submit your blog to blog directories and social bookmarking sites to gain page rank and generate traffic. Much better if you can put your blog to the first page of the SERP(search engine result page) for more info you can visit freeseotipsandtricks.blogspot.com/. Hope this will help you get started.=)

I think commenting on other peoples blogs helps greatly to build a good community of followers. It takes time and hard work.
-
i don't think it gets visitors, it crosslinks
the amount of visitors it gets is few.
Although, if you do comments better than anyone it could mean that a GOOD blog will send traffic
Here's a quote from a blog I commented on a year back "I must admit that your comment is the best one that I have had on this blog ever. I hope that more bloggers like you participate on my blog to raise the bar to a higher level of musical consciousness." -
Hi Lilly, I actually get a LOT of visits from commenting on other people's blogs, but then I leave real comments. Not just, "Love this post, have a great day!" LOL. And I've met the most amazing, kind, insightful people through my blog. Another advantage to it is that you develop strong friendships and people who pass the word and will help you out if your need info, a "how to", word spreading, even support on a life issue, advice, etc. Also I've found that not only I, but others. like something real.

you may have the best blog with the hottest content, but if nobody knows about it, you will not be succesfull.
Just commenting on other blogs will not be enough, forget things like if you visit my blog, i'll visit yours.
Your audience should not only be other bloggers, but people, who perhaps have never heard something about blogs.
So the goal must be to reach a broad audience.
Also a blog is technically not much more than a typical internet site.
There a lot of common ways to promote websites, such as search engine and directory submissions. -
If your looking for profitable traffic you need to implement SEO as well as building up a loyal reader base.

Hi all, we have removed a bunch of comments here because of link dropping. Simply saying "I have written about this, check it out" or "here's what I say about this on my blog" and then adding a link will not fly.
Leaving a link is OK, but it has to be relevant to and support a quality comment that helps to continue the discussion.
