   I've had good luck with CommentLuv on "Gaiatribe," which links a person's latest post. Also try networks like this one, and Blog Explosion, Bloggers Unite, MyBlogLog, and Google Friend Connect. They not only help direct people to your site, but let you see who's reading your blog so you can connect with your readers.

   Content is king and marketing is queen. Accept the fact that you will have to promote every post you write.
   (1) Break important stories
   (2) Interview other bloggers, become an interviewee yourself, and become a guest writer on other blogs
   (3) Register with Directories, forums, join virtual groups and social networks and become active where you register
   (4) Use twitter and press releases to promote your posts
   (5) Participate in blog carnivals
   (6) Submit your posts to article directories
   (7) Create links and trackbacks
   (8) Encourage comments and reply to each one promptly and personally
   (9) Create a Squidoo Page Lens
   (10) Craete newsletters or other free valuable give away content
   (11) Hold contests

   1. Try LinkReferral. It's unlike any other website/blog directories. To know more about it, you can check it out on my blog.
   
   2. Social networks like Tribe.net, Facebook, ExperienceProject, mylot, PlatinumLounge, Orkut, and others really help especially if you already have lots of connections.
   
   3.Classified ads websites like Craigslist is also an option. But you need to post every update on your blog. Don't just advertise your blog one time.
   
   4. Visiting other blogs and commenting on them might also return you the favor.

      Find forums having to do with your blog's subject and include a link to your blog in your signature or profile, if allowed. Post to the forums, but don't promote your blog. Just offer helpful advice and trust that readers will find their way to your blog through your siggy or your profile link.

   If you have a special niche blog jut join mailing list with related topic with your blog. You can share with them and put ur blog link in there.
