I just installed a new template on my blog and I am trying to setup my Archives page.
The template came with an "archive.php" file.
The instructions on wordpress say to Create a new Page called "Archives" and it says "In the sidebar open the //Page templates// box, and select the //Archives// template"
I don't have a "Page Template" box in my sidebar?
How do I set the page template?

There are a few realy nice plugins out there that create a much better archive page then Wordpress will ever do on it's own. Meaning: much more search engine friendly. Have a look around for some of them on Google. I'm afraid I don't have any links or names handy atm. You'll have to see what works best on your blog.

This plugin is compatible with 2.6.3 however, 2.6.5 is already out and 2.7 is happening tonight so I'll leave it to you to decide what to do wordpress.org/extend/plugins/collapsing-archives/

When you write the page scroll to the bottom there is a place to chose the template, it says page template, and you just choose archives and save it.
You can also look around for other archives templates which may e designed better.
I have used both that and srg clean archives plugin which just requires you make a page called archives and turn on the plug-in and insert this code to the page.

That is what I am using now in the wonderland blog.
