Well I heard that the best way to become successful is to find a way to make a living doing what your totally passionate about.
I'm a writer. So , although I'm not at ALL concerned with money, having it, especially not millions of it...I would assume that's my closest link to having that kind of life. -
I'll start an investment fund with better than 100% returns. I'll pay out existing clients with the investments of new clients and I'll take a cut off each investment. Sounds like a winner.

I have loads of ideas, but sadly I'm probably not going actually make any of them happen, except the one I'm actually working on now, which is becoming a full time musician, breaking through into crazymad popularity with some ubergood music, sell a gazillion copies of my albums and make tons of money. Still working on that one. I'll let you know how it worked out in about 30 years or so.
I had this (in my mind) great idea a while ago, but it seems the laws of physics are pulling the plug on it. If you could make a long pipe with a couple of thousand nanotubes inside it and stick it in water, it would suck water up to a certain level before the capillary effect and gravity equal out. If you could curve the top part of the pipe at that equilibrium point and make the bottom half of the very tip of the tube out of a material that has no friction/is hydrophobic/something cool, the water would pour out of the pipe at the top, thereby creating a zero energy water pump. If the tip material thing isn't possible, the alternative would be to install a low-powered solar energy-driven pump at the top to suck the water just enough to get it to pour out of the pipe.
I actually asked an "expert" phycisist if this was possible and he went
"Uh... I have no idea."
If anyone here can make this work, go right ahead. Voodoo, how about an applied science experiment?

The first million is always the hardest... if you accomplish the first one, many other will follow.
Secret lies in finding "the next big thing" before everyone else. I would suggest people to search things that will bring bliss and satisfaction to people. Finding this idea isn't the hardest part, the difficulty is to have the courage and the power of taking the idea out of the drawer. Numbness is the enemy.
