Roger Ebert has been sticking his thumbs up and down like a Roman emperor since forever. His general premise is that your movie sucks and he goes at great pompous lengths to convince you.

I review horror films and heavy metal albums for my blog.

Since I am an avid horror fan, it is inevitable that Roger Ebert thinks some of my favourite movies suck.

Now the tables have turned. It is your turn to review Roger Ebert!

Please try to keep your reviews 250 words or less. I want to use the best reviews for my blog and you will get a link to your blog.

Thanks to Static who commented about Roger Ebert on my blog and gave me the idea. You can see his blog here:

He should take a long deserved vacation somewhere he can't watch films.

Good one! I neglected to mention you can give him a rating out of 5 too. I have rating skulls on my blog, so just give a number (1/5), (5/5), etc.

    "Five thumbs down" (0/5)

I didn't think Roger Ebert was doing that since his surgery about a year ago ... He hasn't been on tv in forever.

I quite like him, actually. But if I wanna see a movie, I don't let a critic convince me otherwise.

      "I quite like him, actually."
      That's a good review

Well, it wasn't a real review! But it is under 200 words.

It's fine though, that's exactly what I want. Thanks.

I used to agree with Gene Siskel a lot more than Roger Ebert. There's one thing about movie reviewers, though: there are no experts. Sure, some might know more about movies, but their tastes in movies aren't any better than anyone else's. So with movie reviewers, if you can find someone who's tastes are similar to your own, listen to that person's reviews.

Writing about movies is like dancing about plumbing.

I would review Roger Ebert as being totally clueless. Yeh if you are about 100 you might agree with him, but aside from that, if he hates it, most likely I am gonna love it.

Yay! Thank you. Thanks for the rating too

Working on this post now. Any other takers?

I felt, when it was Siskel and Ebert, Ebert's reviews were a bit more of a practical/everyman viewpoint than Siskel's were, which were typically pretty harsh. Reviewing on the web, however, is a whole new bag of popcorn.

I'm so sad he's leaving the show. I hope he gets a new one though
