How's your Traffic Doing?

After one month, my traffic increased to more than 100 unique visitors a day. As of the moment, my blog receives 155 unique visits everyday (Average). My total pageview is 5,484.
How about you? How's your traffic doing?

For this month, per day, I'm currently at an average of 280 uniques, (43 returning), and 847 page views.
I'm noticing it's a bit slower this week than it was last week. I'm guessing people might be away on vacation...?-

I get about nine visits a day... 4 are family members so I don't know if they count.-
They totally count. You have family who actually READS your site. Do you know how rare that is?

I was totally joking, actually my cousin's wife read my site one time and told me she was disappointed in me. I think I wrote a blog that day about something rather disgusting like how bukkake is a relationship saver.
She told me that she is praying for my soul, so I have that going for me which is nice. -

Honestly I stopped being a stats hound with Pointless Banter because the hits haven't been as high as they were on myspace, I get a few thousand page views a day most of the time.
Buzznetworker averages about 1K page views a day, it is growing pretty fast. I am doing a guest post on Problogger.net at some point which should help out. -

A post that was "dugg" on March 20th was spotted by a top "stumbler". It all went crazy from there. That post has been viewed 41,616 times now.

But the number varies from anywhere from hundred to thousand plus per day... I am just hoping to get couple hundred per day as an average.
Not bad for a blog that's only been around the hosted site for six weeks now

The blog is 6 months old. I think it's such a specific niche, but I'm not here to make money, just get people reading and maybe over to my business site: www.goycodesign.com and it's working.
My total (since installing site meter about3 months ago) is:

I really have no idea what to expect. I don't know if this is good or not. -
currently i get around 20 visits a day in my blog its new although -
I'm no expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
To reap more net surfers to your blog, METATAGS, DESCRIPTION, AND THE TITLE are key elements.
For many blog services, such as Blogger, you don't have the capability to change these for each individual post. What you have on your front page is what you have on all your pages, at least concerning spiders that crawl the Internet.
What you need to do in blogger is have a strong title in each post, and make sure you repeat that title early on in your post.
EXAMPLE:
TITLE: NFL Conspiracy Theory
BODY: The NFL conspiracy theory begins here.
Make sure to use those key words several times. This will help you get ranked higher on search engines.
If possible, have another blog link to your story. the more links, the higher in rank.
If you have the capability of adding metatags and a description to your blog, make sure they are precise, and not more than a half dozen words. This helps the spiders zero in on the topic instead of diluting the post contents.

Mine has slowed down for 900 to around 200 a day but then again my post haven't been like they used to be.. Too much going on I guess.

i'm new to the online blogging thing and have installed sitemeter. is there something else i could/should also be using to track visitors? I don't think sitemeter tells me how many unique viewers, etc (unless I just don't know how to read all the stats...which is highly likely...)

Navigate through your site meter. You can get information about your stats. Daily unique traffic, weekly, monthly, over the 12 months. You can also check your source of traffic from referrals. There's also the details where you can check how long does your visitors stay on your blog.
Google Analytics is a great stat that I also recommend.

Stats vary all the time. This may sound weird, but if I leave a post hanging for about 3-4 days, I get more traffic, as opposed to posting every single day. I think the main thing is "quality traffic"----those who are seeking info that you have posted on your blog. I have had things from "foot fetish" searches to "knitting", as well as INSANE searches that I won't even mention....they have all found ME! Don't ask. (ha)
Which day do you find you receive the most traffic though? -
Outside of my visits, probably 25-30 a day on average. It's starting to get frustrating (started blog in Dec). -

If you leave your blog for a week or so, make sure that you invite someone to be a guest blogger. Especially when your blog is relatively new, the impact in your traffic is devastating.

This week, I'm getting about 12000 uniques per day.. but usually, I get around 4000....
That's for a 2 year old blog with 2500 RSS subscribers btw.. -

I've got my work cut out for me at this point I'm no where near where everyone else is but I just started so I guess 20-30 per day is to be expected lol looking forward to seeing #'s like Kiltak thats awesome -
Well, usually I take back roads to Rt. 80 and then down Rt. 11, since traffic is normally calm in the morning. However, construction crews are working on Rt. 80, so I'll have to take Rt. 13, which is gonna slow me down 10-15 minutes.

I don't check my stats that often unless I'm looking at the silly search terms to post to my blog for entertainment purposes. I imagine you would want returning visitors and prolonged stays not click on bys. I average the same amount of readers daily and have for some time.
The only think I know is that Tuesday is a big day for blog reading. You might want to just spend some time writing good stuff and see over a period of a couple weeks see what days get the most traffic and write something spectacular on that day which theoretically should prmote more returning traffic. For me Tuesdays are my highest traffic days, Saturday are my lowest traffic days. -
I'm glad to see that we're all working hard to improve our traffic. Although there are other ways to measure a blog's performance other than traffic of course.

My blog gets about 10-17 uniques per day on average. I have 9 subscribers so far.
You're an inspiration, BloggingMix, and your blog is first-class.
I enjoy the process of blogging and celebrate every improvement in my blog, no matter how small. My traffic will improve with time, I just need to keep on blogging, read and comment on other great blogs in my niche and hit the blogging forums. I think Big picture, and keep on working the little picture. Much of blogging is Positive Outlook and Attitude, IMO.

Three of my main traffic referrals came from
google (most hits), blogcatalog (due to my forum activities) and digg.
Apparently google thinks that my page have good weight on PTC review and scam news.

My blog is two weeks old and I'm getting 200/day and I have 50 subscribers. It is hard to know how to get the word out. Any ideas on how to get mroe traffic to a site devoted research and science regarding happiness and well-being??

70 visits a day for a 3 days old blog is exceptional. My traffic now is at 173 unique visits a day. That's 1.7 months of hardwork.

Someone stumbled my blog this afternoon.
My normal traffic is usually about 8 to 14 uniques per day.
Between 3pm and 6pm this afternoon, I received approximately 110-120 unique visitors to my blog. Prior to this spike, the most uniques I had ever seen on my blog in a single day had been 22.
I can say that my host, DreamHost, handled the spike well, although I realize that serious traffic spikes from getting Dugg can exceed 20,000 uniques per week or more....... -

You can also use site meter to monitor your traffic progress. It's easy to install and easy to use.

It goes up and down, according to how often I post, and at least once because of a short stumble burst. It's actually there for all to see. Just click on the sitemeter badge, if you're interested. I don't have ads, so the numbers don't mean too much, but I get a kick out of the dots on the world map.

I should add though that I'm glad I also have GoogleAnalytics now. That thing really tells a story---not that I understand it all the time.

My traffic have been slow down to the static amount of traffic, since I stop manipulate my traffic with stumbleUpOn. I still get some boost traffic on some of my stumbled pages, but it's not as high as it used to be.
I am ok with it. -
i realise that i hit good result during weekends, like saturday and sunday and my monthly hits goes up to around 3,000 visitors and on average 100 visitors/ Day.
Most of my visitors comes from blog communities, and currently i have 30 subscribed feeders which i am quite happy it has not decreased yet and my alexa ranking is increasing every 2 weeks the first time was 3,123,321, then slowly to 1,232,678-->912,859-->814,190-->639,958-->435,296-->416,332, hopefully i will climb more...Increasing bit by bit and thanks to all who visited my blog

Not too much to me either, but I am curious who's visiting, and people don't always leave comments. Site Meter gives me some information on that, and GoogleAnalytics a little more.
These services also tell you if people have PCs, Macs, or whatever, and what kind of browser they have. That can be useful for when you make decisions about your site's design.
Lastly, they can tell you were people were when they clicked to your site. Then you'll know if your BlogCatalog or Bumpzee memberships are helping draw readers or not.
It can also be fun to see what search terms people used on Google.
People concerned with revenue will try to manipulate these things, but it can still be interesting for the average user.

so quite close to your numbers.
I do experience drop in visitors on weekends, probably most people read blogs at work -
My traffic is OK... it continues to increase steadily and I am happy with that (this is since March)

Traffic was really slow yesterday at www.ablogaboutnothing.com dropped off by nearly 50% in one day. Not sure what happened, but I'll blame the economy -
I have the same experience. My daily average dropped from 200+ to 182 and the traffic I have gotten so far this day is not also good.

well...i used to hav some good traffic days back but now its exam times so less visitors abt 60-70 uniques per day and 250 pageloads.
My blog is about engineering exams and all other stuff so those exams make so much difference.Total stats are 20,000+ in 5 months so dats pretty good....Traffic shall start again in feb i think......Wish u too good luck Rocky.I saw ur blog its really kool! -

My current averages are 900-1000 uniques per day with about 50-100 returning but that's mainly because of a gigantic SU spike. I'm guessing that it's now about 500-600 uniques per day. -
im happy my blog gets traffic on a progressive scale. yesterday, as my bloglog reports it, i had 129 pageviews. this is better than the past days. well my blog is still a baby though. but compared to those blogs who started on a date similar as mine, my blog is way better in terms of traffic. it's only 100 and one days old and have 3,898 pageviews. not bad for a novice blogger like me, is it?

I agree. Entrecard does wonders for me. It is easier to network and promote blogs. I also used Blogexplosion, but EC is better because some of your card droppers get to read your blogs.
