   I worked 28 hours at the library (as acting supervisor)
   Finished a painting (see lucidflora.blogspot.com/2009/01/new-painting-contests.html )
   Put up the blog post mentioned immediately above
   Sent out multiple "follow up" e-mails (regarding my art business)
   Sent out a handful of new submission guideline request e-mails (regarding my art business)
   Read much of "Self Promotion for the Creative Person" (don't waste your money on this book)
   Sent snail-mail submissions to the New Orleans & New York artist registry programs
   Explored & investigated some online art galleries (they seem not to be worth it)
   Deposited check for art from an interested party, prepared his package & mailed it
   Picked up my gridwalls from a local art gallery
   Went to the Audubon Insectarium in New Orleans & then out for lunch
   Sent out at least 14 photography &/or art contest entries
   Caught up on over 250 blog posts (friends, not mine)
   Prepared another art package to send to a friend for his birthday
   Framed a panther pencil sketch & hung it
   Picked up $70ish worth of art supplies
   Ordered some clothes online
   Picked up my prize-winning painting from it's December-long display (almost an hour away)
   Had a major, emotional breakdown (New Year's Day--I'm okay now)
   Put air in my back tire & filled up the tank (car)
   Rec'd & reviewed an application for a Spring art festival in Florida
   Accidentally ordered WAYYYYY too hot grilled shrimp for dinner (but didn't send it back)
   Prepared for tonight's Festinblanc "white hot art" contest (get out & dust my display easel, choose paintings, fill out business cards with req'd info & apply to paintings per directions. Make sure paintings will fit securely on display easel)
   Probably lots of other random things, too (chores, feeding the local birds, etc.)

   well hope the ER thing worked out! did you get a job there? that would be an interesting story-- being recruited while you are getting fixed up.. stranger things have happened though!

      Once I was getting my hair cut, and got hired right then as a receptionist....but the haircut was horrible
