I have plan to sign up with 10 social sites a day and reach 1000 by April 2009.

I think this is the best own manual link exchange and Google will not mind about that.

What do you think of my plan?

Anyone with me? Let's see the results!

Which one is better? A link back project or this?

For me: Quality is better than quantity.

I prefer to get backlinks as an anchor text, instead of links in profiles on social sites.

You can do it by your self from the blog provided by the social site

1000 social sites????? sounds exhausting. I only belong to maybe 5 and only really keep up with two of them

You should keep me updated on the good ones to join weblogian!
Everything works on my page now, now all I have to do is fix the image resizing for the carousel in the CSS and I'll be good to go. Found out it's because it shrinks an image that is 310x240 or 240x310 to 133x133 then resizes...or something like that... I'll get that fixed late tonight probably.

I always say not to think of the site popularity, Join site where you can post, Insert RSS.

      Even photo sites are good.

Edited: I like Flickr, we can add links to the photos we upload.

Yeah, I just joined Flicker tonight. I suppose now that I'm somewhat satisfied with the layout and I'm adding content (slowly, slowly). I want to see if people actually find my blog worth reading or not.

      Cris,
      Ponder On!

Tech blog or site is very difficult to make real big money. Cos there are many famous sites already. And almost all go there only.

I have a friend working with www.pcworld.com a tech site. He told me that They charges 1000's of dollar for reviews and plus the manufacturer have to send the products ( no return) for testing before they post review articles.

Im order to run a succesful tech blog, you have to prove to the people that you have dozens of techny man in hand plus got to invest lot in TV ads and net Ads

Eh, I don't plan on making money. It would be cool to get to write for PC World or IGM.

You can submit your blog to thinkdigit.com and Pcworld.com

One of the worst idea's I have heard this year. Do some research num nuts

The biggest waste of time I've ever heard of. Social sites are useless unless you participate. Do you really think people are even going to know you're there just because you sign up?

    @badoozie @Catana
Do you really undertand what I am upto. I am not doing this for blog popularity or traffic.

This is self link back project. To write a blog profile/promo post with links on each social sites.

Do you already have a list of these social media sites? If yes, can ushare, please. I only have nearly 100 of them. BTW, do you know any active social media site about self help or personal development.

It's a good way to ensure that you have the same name across many networks.

But, will you continue to maintain your screen name on all those sites. That can be very time consuming.

It's probably best to stick to the ones with name recognition and fit your objectives for a networking site.
