    Force clear your browse cache and cookies. Force refresh:
    Depending on your operating system all you need to do to accomplish such a thing is the following key combination:
    * Windows: ctrl+F5
    * Mac/Apple: Apple+R or command + R
    * Linux: F5
    Next delete your browser cache and cookies and do a forced reload of the page. Then try trend micro housecall housecall.trendmicro.com/

    Not good.
    It has been reported that the Conficker/Downaup virus will prevent you from accessing Anti-Virus sites.

    I'd check out TT's link and if you've no luck there try this link www.bdtools.net/what-is-downadup.php

      @rfburnhertz
      Agreed. Thanks for that bdtools link. I dded it to my bookmarks.

      @doson
      This does not look good.

      Sure.
      It's a BitDefender tool, which, while their interface is a tad clunky imo, is one of the best Anti-Virus options available.

      Of course, that it is one of the best is also just my opinion. :0

    Did you not have Anti-Virus to begin with?
    Crappy or non-updated Anti-Virus perhaps?

      I'm checking out that BDtools..

      I use Avast Antivirus (daily updates), Ad-Aware & CFP.. but
  4. dosox
    oh BTW do i have to turn off my antivirus while using BDtools..
    1. rfburnhertz
      I haven't used it, haven't had the need so I'm not sure if you have to turn it off.

      I would tend to believe it should be disabled but could not say for sure.

    I had something like this before...I'll just check how I sorted it.

      Right...when this happened to me it was that a virus had hijacked my hosts file...like this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosts_file#Malicious_use_of_redirection

      If that's what's happened to you you will be able to find out by accessing the file and seeing if those sites have been blocked. I'll just find you some instructions.

      Here you go:

    I did read also once if you can't access anti virus sites, it means you have a virus. I use Trend Micro.

      Purchase a good Anti-Virus (Fprot is good and decently priced) and then start backing up your PC on a regular basis (or purchase Norton Ghost).

      Scan previous to each back-up or Ghosting and then you know you always have something safe to return to should you become infected again.

      Obviously you have to spend $$ but it is well worth it in the long run.
      Or set up a Linux box! :-)
