Grown men who wear sandals and golf hats, and have tribal tattoos that they will one day regret, ever so sadly.

I had a friend in college who LOVED Michael Bolton. She even had a poster. Now she completely disavows this. (Who can blame her, but...) It's as if it never, ever were... I mentioned it and she looked at me like I had asparagus growing out of my ears.

She's blocked it out, I tell you. Too traumatic.

Eh, I used to like MC Hammer and still like Vanilla Ice. Even wore a pair of Skidz and envied anyone with a pair of Reebok Pumps.

Heehee even in their boy band craze days I couldn't stand that group!

I will never forget the time one of the other kids in school brought in a new kids on the block concert on video and we sat through the whole thing. Instead of doing work. It was a trade-off, I hated learning about numbers but boy bands were just worse.

I never did that I knew how other people felt about it. I would have been laughing in embarrassment.
    6. riverstyxxx
At that age, none of us knew the meaning of embarrasment

I had Z.Cavaricci jeans with the fold on them. Those had to be the ugliest pants ever!
    1. riverstyxxx
You had those??? I heard of maybe 3 kids in the whole school that had a pair of those. I never got to meet any of them and saw one of them only once. They sure were nice though, kinda like a cross between Mc Hammer and Yuppies.
Yeah, if you had those you would have had any need or desire fulfilled.
    2. DOUGGOFFdotCOM
      I only had one pair!
    3. riverstyxxx
That's all you needed back then. Didn't even have to wash them either.

Those jelly sandals. You know, the ones made of plastic. Bleh. I can't believe I had to be like my friends and get a pair.

    Most...uncomfortable...shoe...ever.
    1. riverstyxxx
I had to google it. Those were such an eye sore, never had a pair and thank god.
    2. JillSaxon

Given our international community here, I'm worried my submission may be lost upon many.

When I was in middle school, the going trend was to roll our pant legs up in fashion that was affectionately referred to as "french rolling" our jeans. The pictures from that era look ridiculous, as if we're all expecting a flood of biblical proportions.

Yet I remember thinking at the time how uncool it was to not roll your jeans. Lord, what damn fools we were.

Ha! I remember that. I also remember wearing two pairs of socks in a different color (at the same time). They were worn like this: On the right foot, white would be on top and red on the bottom. On the left foot, red would be on top and white would be on the bottom.

I have since destroyed any and all pictures of myself from those days.
