I changed my layout. Care to come in and give me some advice?

This is not to gain clicks as my blog is ad-free.
I just need some advice on how it looks and how I can improve it.

If you feel like helping please come in and let me know what you think of the new look. Suggestions are most welcome.

The "old look" is still on my profile ( and avatar) so you can compare.

    I think the header looks cool, but personally I think its way to big.

    Thanks for your opinion,I have to agree, I just don't know which size would be an optimal size, any suggestions?
