Inspired by a photo I took at Niagara Falls on a Spring morning, if anyone's interested; lucidflora.blogspot.com/2009/04/new-painting.html

Very nice, I don't know why but it brought to mind Australia rather than Niagara. Maybe it's the colours.

    Beautiful work!

Left you a comment. Very nicely done and I loved the colors!

I left you a comment-- there's a strange serenity this has-- possibly due to the color scheme-- in spite of the power of the roaring falls itself.

Nice painting, but im curious as to why only 12” wide?

Unless you have some other paintings to go along with it?

mtyler77; Unfortunately the recession hits arts like nothing else, but my fingers are crossed!

    Jeunelle; Thank you.

KiefersCorner; 12" wide because that's the size I had, & if I'd turned the canvas the other way to do the ENTIRE falls, the sunrise would've been overpowered by the shadowed falls. The title of the piece doesn't reference Niagara, so people can think whatever they will.

I want to sit outside in a swing listening to the water and watching the sun. That is absolutely breathtaking!
