I know I have not been on in a LONG WHILE - but I was in the midst of making the final preparations, then the ceremony and honeymoon. It was all fabulous and I could not be happier. Thanks to all the well-wishes and good thoughts while I was away!

We just watched "The Wedding Singer" on VH1 today. We LOVE that song at the end - about growing old together. I'm 38 and he's 37 and this was the 1st marriage for us both - so we are a true testament for waiting for what you know you deserve! Yes, we're looking forward to growing old together... Thank you for the warm wishes!

No, I make great fallafel. My husband lost his sense of smell in '89 after a head injury from a mountain-climbing accident. The impact severed his olifactory nerve, so he has been afraid to cook since then due to is lack of smell and a couple of 'burnt' attempts. He's doing some great cooking now with some of my assistance and supervision, but fallafel has still been on my list on items I make.
Thanks for the good wishes.
Yes, it has been a LONG while - just a lot of extra planning and other 'to-dos' that kept me absent.
Best wishes for you!

Im in the planning process at the moment - for a 17k+ wedding. To be really truthfully honest, I'm hating it - Don't get me wrong, Im looking forward to the day and spending the rest of my life with my fiance. I just hate the stress of scrimping and saving and paying excessive ammounts of overpriced things.
I've got the feeling like i've been cooking all day in the kitchen and then not feeling hungry for what I've made.-
I LOVE that analogy!!! We both felt the SAME way. We did at on a relatively small budget and it freaked us out - but after the fact we felt it was really worth it. Just don't spend extra for the 'extras.' In the end, no one is going to care how extravagant the centerpieces are - or if there even are any, etc, etc. Plus, we had our wedding on a Friday and got 50% off for the reception. There are ways to cut the cost. And, yes, the expenses are overwhelming. If you keep it simple and only spend on the necessary, you may not mind as much as, during and after the day approaches. Small, simple and tasteful is elegant! The only things people will care about in the end is if the food was good and if you gave them time to spend with them to thank them for coming. Best wishes for you and your fiance'.
