   Do you use any traffic analysis service? If you don't you should and find the referring sites that are bringing you traffic. Maybe one of your blog posts got featured on a social bookmarking site like Digg or Stumble Upon, maybe someone on twitter tweeted about you. There could be many explanations.

   Nah its probably the BING disease they are plaguing the stats every where. Would you double check if the culprit IP lies in this range.

   check the referral IP and see if it belongs to MS.

   I wouldn't get excited about hits. Unique visitors and page views is what counts in my opinion.
