I am really proud of this post because I think it is true.

(don't be shy you can stumble it)

Do you not hate how people use their status message on social networks to drum up drama on their relationships and beg for attention?

Do these social networks complicate dating by adding another layer to it?

That's deep, you should write for Cosmo.

For the record, my status is:
"Turning over a new leaf but it's heavy"
    That is overflowing with drama.

I wouldn't be the only person with junk writing for them. I am convinced that none of the writers there are actually female.
    2. ekim941
Nonsense, they have to be female. At least from what little I have read. No man, present company excluded, is that long winded.

I'm not that wild about people who do the same thing in real life, either. At least with Facebook, you can just click the little "x"...
    1. pointlessbanter
what would the little x be in real life?

hand to the face springer style?

ATTENTION WHORES. It is not just Facebook it is Myspace, Twitter, Bedo, damn even text messages. I am guessing that most people want to be noticed.
If you are having a good day then no one cares. If you are having a bad day then everyone is running to your rescue.

      What happened to:

"Laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone"?

ekim, that doesn't apply anymore? dang.

I want to entertain people the last thing I want is a personal pat on the back every time I stub my toe.

I am going to kill myself. Please start a Facebook or myspace page so people can come and leave comments on how great I was. I bet I will still get friends requests even in death.

couldn't the same be said for BC discussions...or blog writing.

If you have thoughts then keep them to yourself, but discussing them means you want other peoples attention

or writing a blog and wanting comments means you're seeking attention, lol

I agree with you. I'm not a fan of reading relationship drama on Facebook, in blogs or in forums.

I'm happily engaged, but it's complicated, and worse than that I don't even have a Facebook account. Perhaps people could shout me with relationship advice, and I'll friend everyone who does. Even better if you visit my blog and leave a snappy yet pertinent comment on one of my posts because that's sure to cheer me up

Hate is a strong emotion, but I get slightly irritated by the 'its complicated' to 'in a relationship' back to 'its complicated' to 'single' bollocks.

My favorite are the 10 year olds on FAcebook that think its "cute" to set their status as "Married" or "Engaged"
    1. carlgalloway
OMG, you mean 10 year olds lie about their age to get a Facebook account?

Teenagers are full of drama. Ignore them and they'll go away.

Haha, I finally get whats going on here! A and B could be either/both sexes

A: How are you doing today sweetie?
      B: Don't gimme that sugar-coated lovey-dovey voice.
      A: What's wrong?
B: Didn't you read my facebook status?
A: No, I figured I was going to see you in a few hours why would I check your facebook?
B: Well, you should have, because now I'm thinking of switching it from "Its complicated" to "Single"
A: Wait, what? Just because I didn't read your facebook?
B: Its obvious you don't care about me if you won't pay attention to everything I do online at all times!

B then goes to sign up for fling

I much prefer when people air their relationship laundry here on BC and seek advice.

    "Should I dump my girlfriend?"
    "is she hot?"
    "yes"
"well then dump her so I can get with her."
  9. calais50
I agree. Whether I'm single or not, my status is always the same-"in a relationship." That keeps most random people from messaging me.

LMAO look at the drama whores on myspace
