A health care reform supporter had his finger bitten off by an opposer when a fist fight broke out at a town hall meeting...I sure hope everyone involved is rich enough to afford health insurance!

I watched the move on health care where Cuba had better health care than we did. (I cant remember the name) but It had a man with insurance on it and he lost two fingers. The insurance company actually asked him what finger he wanted reattached They would only pay for one. I hope his insurance is better than that.

I remember that...oh man I'm drawing a blank on the name of the movie though...ahhh. Sicko, that's what it was.

I think that was it. Hubby borrowed it from a friend and watched it. I was amazed. I dont know if alot of that was real or not. He claimed it was and if it was I am moving to Cuba the first chance I get lol

That was a good movie. They also say bad things about Canadian health coverage. How many Canadians do we have here that do nothing but praise their coverage?

I enjoyed the movie, but just as with any documentary like that, you have to take the filmmaker's POV into consideration and realize what is being presented as fact is sometimes not. Moore entertains me, but his lack of presenting the opposition views makes me wary of him.

Finger food Yum! I think health insurance is just there to create profit. I've heard so many stories about people with insurance being cut off for some reason or another.

Yeah I am diabetic and I have had them tell me no because of a pre existing illness. Like I had anything to do with it. I didnt smoke or drink my way into it. I cant afford my meds some months as it is and I have supposedly good insurance.

One of my friends broke her arm during an equestrian competition, she was in the equestrian team of her university. She needed surgery and the student insurance didn't cover it because she wasn't on university ground when it happened. She finished paying for her arm (literally) last year, about 8 years after the accident.

My student insurance doesn't cover prescriptions, thank God I don't have any chronic condition because I don't know what I would do in that case.

What a great way to promote your side of a debate as rational... get into a fist fight and somebody loses a finger.

What is it-- he who leaves with the most intact digits wins?

I think we're going to look back on this era someday and shake our heads.

So am I. But I'm hoping it will be as a bigger, more unified collective.
