I just got 10,000 hits in 20 hours!!

My article on installing Windows 7 (www.sriraminhell.com/2009/01/windows-7-build-7000-installation-guide.html) just got my site over 10,000 visits and counting over the last 20 hours.
About 40% of the visits were from other reputed sites where I had commented, 40% was from Google and other assorted search engines and 20% from direct site visits. This goes on to prove that commenting(a lot) on other sites/blogs, does pay off..

You never know how you can make it big. I also read that Windows 7 is great. You will probably get more hits for months to come. I skipped Vista and may consider Windows 7.-
Windows 7 looks real good. There was a time, a few months back, when I considered switching to Linux. Even dual booted my system with Ubuntu. But the Windows 7 beta looks great, runs faster than XP, boots up faster and installs all the apps that I use daily. Cheers!!

I skipped Vista and may consider Windows 7, too. I downloaded the beta and I wait to finish my project (it might take another few weeks) to install it on my Dell 1535 (the problem is I don't know if I'll find W7 drivers for my laptop)

Thanks so much. A year ago, I averaged 20-30 hits a day. I was delighted if I got about 100 hits a day. Now I average about 300-400 hits a day. Keep blogging and I'm sure you can achieve this as well!!

I dont do any ads/paid reviews right now. A few months back when I was doing paid reviews I earned about $70-$100 a month.

I am so frustrated with Vista on laptop, have XP on desktop -can it be switched over, do I gain more functions, I use Works, Spreadsheets, blogging,FTP program, etc.
My desktop is HP a1310, 64 processor, 3700+, AMD Athone, 1.0 GB memory, 200 GB HD?-
Since Windows 7 is still in it's beta stage, i wouldn't recommend you using it on your primary machine.

Not exactly. Torrent sites like ThePirateBay get nearly millions of hits a day. Post a guide to install Windows 7 in the "download Windows 7 torrent" section, it just rains visitors!!

I see that you have just started blogging. So just concentrate on posting stuff regularly and frequently for a few months. Think about monetization after atleast 3-4 months. And post quality content. Cheers!

That is fantastic keep up the good work. It is said that two to three hours a day should be spent commenting on others blog,sites internet radio youtube videos and anything that your into that allows for comments good job.
Its does go to show that with hard work comes rewards.

Congratulation. But keep on mind that commenting a lot on other blogs should be followed by a good content on your blog, or your visitor will just leave you just in a sec.

10,000 about Windows 7...no problem! Vista, so i heard through the grapevine, sucked. I hope Windows 7 is better because it's time for me to get a new computer.-
Vista does suck. Maily due to high harware requirements and poor compatibility. Windows 7 is much better and I think it's like the XP, as we know it now.

I've heard of Blogger blogs disappearing overnight. I wonder if a huge number if hits at once could be one of the reasons.-
I shouldn't think so. I know of a couple of blogs on Blogger with atleast 5000+ hits a day, daily. Blogger restricts your storage space though..

A great strategy in commenting on PirateBay I'm too scared to register on those kind of sites though-
You can register and promote your content there as long as you dont spam them. It's pretty legal as you are not downloading illegal content.

That's true making comments on high Pr3 and above site/blog can increased your traffic, I increased my backlinks 100% in a week time, but don't over doing it, they will think you are spamming. @sriraminhell congrats good work at keep it up

Currently working on my LINUX and UBUNTU, nice! BUt W7 not sure hope better-
Ubuntu is good but the compatibility problems[Compiz is enabled by default] and low app support makes me shy away from using it as my primary OS.

I remember the days of getting 20k visitors in a single day to www.projectswole.com from Digg. Also had a couple of 5-10k days thanks to StumbleUpon. In fact just yesterday a sweet potato recipe that I posted, was stumbled to the tune of about 5k uniques. My biggest problem is that the Digg effect shut my web host down 2 out of every 3 times, even with WP Super Cache maxed out. I no longer get front paged on Digg, and instead I rely on networking (commenting), quality content, and other social communities like Stumble to drive my traffic. Averaging 2.5k per day since the new year.-
