So, I've done one of those spur~of~the~moment impulsive things and registered a children's craft carnival on blogcarnival.com.
It's going okay, I've got two entries so far and almost a month until entries close. So far, so good.
But then... I had a go at turning one of my doodles into a logo. Frankly, it looks crap.
I don't know whether it's the scanner, my photo editor (um...er...it's microsoft photo editor), or just my artwork.
~I'll happily burn the thing, I just want something that looks better than what I've got ~don't we all!
So I'm looking for
(a) ideas,
(b) advice,
(c) a box of matches.
Does anyone have any of the above to offer?

stripes? Are you talking about my blog, or the blogcarnival site?
I didn't mean that to be a link in my question.
My blog is kidzarama.com ~forgot to put that in...d'oh!

I do Graphic Design so if you would like me to help improve the logo you have now or design a new one completely, I would be glad to help. I'm not sure if I can type my email address here, but you can contact me on my blog if you're interested.

General design is ok
Bolder, thicker lines, brighter colors. Flowers bigger, Crafts by children for children. -
janeycatte, the first step in a good logo is the hardest: coming up with the good artwork. If your drawings or artwork are half decent, which I bet they are, you can scan them in a high quality scanner, then use .NET Paint (free photoshop sort of thing) to size it, shade it maybe.. the main thing is the simple problem of getting the sizes you need.
It seems like logo should be easy, but it is not. You have to be an artist, then you have to know how to manipulate graphics with your computer, and have good software. -

The logo is at kidzarama.com/kraft-for-kidz-blog-carnival/
I was kinda dopey yesterday, and forgot to put a link to it.
.NET Paint sounds good. I'll check it out.
