I Love Animal Cruelty (apparently)

So recently I posted 2 blog entries about this bird on my campus that has been recently perched at the same location and enjoys pecking on the heads of nearly every person that walks past it. I am aware that it is protecting its nest but in my blog I sarcastically/jokingly sounded 100x more outraged. I may have sorta kinda said things like:

-"Tomorrow I have to walk down that same path, and if I see that sorry excuse for a life form harassing my peers I swear to God I will kill it and eat it for dinner. I am an angry man that is low on cash; I could use a free meal."

-"What kind of sick world to do we live in where animals think they can get away with these kind of things? I blame PETA. The animals need to know that monarchy is dead and this "Animal Kingdom" of theirs is nothing but a sad joke."

I was hoping people would detect that im being sarcastic in the post...but i have gotten some messages and comments when I posted it on facebook all calling me an animal hater. I am totally not though, at all! Do you guys think I maybe did not come off as sarcastic as I thought:

I have a friend who doesn't understand sarcasm at all. I mean NOT AT ALL. Even the most obvious jokes go right past her. So I have learned that you can't trust even smart people to always get the joke.

  Thanks a lot! I was actually thinking about changing it a little but I dont wanna...and now that you told me not to its good enough reason to not. I think most of my consistent readers already knew my personality anyways.

Sarcasm is tricky. Some people know it, some people choose to ignore it and play stupid, and want to start sh!t to get your gonads moving. there's a lot of button pushers out there. At least you get the credit of people commenting on your posts whether it's a hate comment or a nice comment. Hey they're giving you hits on your blog! har har.

apparently the sarcasm was a little over their head! and some people can't accept that sarcastic humour can be a healthy coping mechanism for the petty annoyances in life.

As polybore mentioned though, sparrows and crows are viewed as pests and are often exterminated at the behest of homeowners and businesses.
So do your commentators kill flies, mosquito and roaches, spiders or do they let them have free reign in their homes and business'?

I thought the post was hilarious, keep it as is...
but as a real crow/raven fan (see name lmao) I didn't like the picture, but I am very sensitive to disturbing pictures of any animal *shrugs*
