I MADE GOOGLE TOP 10!!!!!

My latest blog article is making a case for Barack Obama, citing the benefits of his healthcare plan over McCain's. It's the first in a series of articles making "the case for Obama" on a number of issues.

I just did a Google search for "opinion barack obama healthcare" and my page was in the top 10! (number 8, right under Time Magazine's blog and above Wikipedia and YouTube!) Front page post! Plus, I've gotten 10 "Diggs" for the article (which is low, but an accomplishment for a newbie like me).

I just wanted to share the excitement. I'm really happy to see my page in the top 10 (on that search at least).

Of course, I have to drop a link - opinionstreams.com/blog/?p=24

Good for you. I share in getting excited to see when one of my blogs pulls up towards the top of a list when doing a search!

  I wish I could! I think WP 2.5.1 has a permalink problem. The only one that's worked for me since I switched is the default and I have no idea how to fix it. WP forums have been no help.

Write a lot and write the way you do, you'll wind up front page more. The weird thing is that it's never the ones you think are your best.

  That's fair enough Jack, my point is it's harder to stay in the top 10 than it is to get there in the first place. I've been google no. 2 before now, on certain posts. Thing is, not to get too carried away, or too obsessed by google, and just concentrate on your own posts.
