I need 5000 friends

Maybe I should hold up a sign that says "Will work for votes"
As many of you already know, I entered a contest to get paid to blog for a year. Well, I thought I had a chance by asking friends to vote for me and putting the link on my profile and on my blog. Well I found out the top competitor must have a small army voting for her because last I checked she had over 4,500 votes!
So I thought if I'm in this to win it I have to start thinking bigger. Here's what I want to do 
I'm a community member at the following places:
digg
stumbleupon
technorati
spicypage
I don't want to do anything against digg (or anyone else's) rules but I like to help out people who are willing to also help me. Again, I can't do anything against any sponsor's rules but also when I visit pages by my friends I like to click links that interest me. It's just what I do when I'm surfing.. and I surf a lot.
So would you help me blog for a year? You can vote once a day and it would really help me a lot.

If you could please post here with any of your links or ids from digg, stumble, techno or spicypage I would love to add you as a friend and surf your pages clicking and voting along the way.
I can also add any relevant links on my blog at www.absolutelytrue.com and when I have enough links I will be organising them into categories, like a directory.

I'm in too (of course) - I've voted for you several times already. I know the limit is one vote per day, but yesterday I managed to sneak one in from work, one from a hotspot lunchtime and one from home at work. I'll do what I can....

I just hope this contest is really on the up and up. "The award is funded by donations from participants and sponsors." They are looking to raise $160,000 by Jan 1st 2008? So you supposedly get half and they get half.
Who are they marketing with?
Who is their sponsors?
Who have they advertised with?
Who is their lawyer?
Where is their legal disclaimer?
Where are the legal rules for the contest?
It says in one part you'll be paid 80,000 yet in another section it says you will only be paid half of what is raised.
I cannot see any lawyer approving of this.
Why the heck is one of the ones hosting the contest in the contest. He should not be allowed to participate. He supposedly donated $1013 to it?
I'm not buying this.

look like that's going to happen, though, as
most people entering are not contributing any
money to the pot. The fellow who began it put
in around $1,000, and the last time I saw a
total amount it was only up to a little over
$1,300. Whoever wins gets half of the total.-
Jaya, that may be why there are relatively few bloggers in the competition I'm going to continue with it because I'm having a good time and making friends along the way so even if/when I don't win and even if there's not really a great prize to be won I'll still have a lot of new friends and contacts.

Either way the competion starter keeps those donations. A clever scam really.

Hey, I think I figured out how someone could have possibly gotten thousands of votes.. but I can't test it because I have a static ip. On my wireless connection when I right click and choose "repair connection" it goes through some steps and one of the steps says "renewing ip". Could that be it? Do some people get a fresh ip each time they do that? I am SO curious now...-
