Everyone has a ghost story to tell, so I'm keen to hear them. I have plenty of stories myself that I just can't explain.

The postal service from The Great Beyond is very efficient, you know.

I am being serious - he died 2 weeks before my 21st birthday. I got a letter on my birthday detailing events that had happened after her death. It was in her handwriting and I found it in and envelope on my bed. No one knows how it got there. I received another letter the day my daughter was born which was 4 or 5 years later.

i thought you were joking, my bad.

what did the letters say? not specifically, but did she mention the birth of your daughter in the second one? where did you find that letter

Both were placed on the bed, however both different beds in different houses. The first letter could be explained away by saying someone put it there and made out that it was from her - however the second letter appeared in a house that had been locked up for a day and a bit and only I had the key to get in.

The letters were pretty general, as if she were alive and just sending a letter. There was no mention of the afterlife or anything like that, it was more or less her saying how proud she was, how I'd make a good father, how she was happy with the name we picked ( to which only myself and my partner knew the name we'd picked up until the birth )

My Dad's picture doesn't sit upright unless it is located directly in front from the door, so it will be the first thing I see when I enter my apartment. My Dad passed away 24 years a go. It took me months (and a few picture holders) of the picture falling every night to figure out what he wanted.

maybe not only so it's the first thing you see.. maybe its to protect the apartment from people who might enter through that door

I like that thought codesucker :-D

I have seen his shadow a few times, I have certainly smelled him as well, he was a heavy smoker so it is easy to recognize as no-one else in the family smokes. He just to wake me up when I was in college, shaking my arm, he called my name once and I scolded him; not only because he scared me but because it was a Saturday, jajajajaja.

Its a good feeling to know that someone is watching over you isn't it?

I had a party when I was a kid and we lived on Coronado Island.

We lived over what was later discovered to be a graveyard... But the party was before we even knew that.

To this day I still don't know how we all saw it - but we never talked about it with each other.

One of the girls, was very heavyset, was sleeping on the couch and the other 4 girls and I were having a "pretend" seance.

When the heavyset girl lifted up about 3 feet off the couch - and then floated back down.

We all screamed and freaked out - and none of us ever slept in my livingroom again.

My mom didn't believe us and we got scolded - the girls got sent home.

I've had things disappear and turn up in places no one possibly could have put it.

I've seen things out of the corner of my eyes.

I've actually had conversations with 2 people (My Grandfather on the phone and my best friend in person at my apartment) - and come later to find out they died close to the time that I talked to them...

I don't know if those are ghosty things. But they were kinda creepy things to me.

Either way thats the kind of story I was hoping for - I do like the "creepy" side of the unexplained. And the touch of living over a graveyard adds to the creepiness.

True ghost stories are really interesting. They suggest there is more to reality then what science will admit. It seems almost everybody knows someone who had a ghostly experience. I think that ghosts are a glorious thing!

I agree - just about everyone has a story to tell, and yet there are so many people who keep the stories to themselves out of fear that no one will believe them. I think thats quite sad really

7 yrs ago, i was at the rooftop reviewing for our exams when suddenly i felt something eerie, when i looked at the neighbors roof i saw something black. i was frightened i cant move my whole body. i thought i was just hallucinating so i looked at it again but its really there. it was a little girl wearing a black dress. i ran into my sister's room. i remembered i forgot my books so i tried to go back there but i saw her standing on the stairway. i dont know what to do that time, i was the only one awake. after that strange things happened to me. i thought i was crazy but my friends and sister told me they felt those things too. i always see, feel and hear some things that cant be explained.

I like taking a nap in my parent's bedroom because it's cool. One day, I slept there and when I woke up I saw someone sitting in front of me. He has cracked face that looks like mud in the drought. I thought I was just dreaming so I closed my eyes and opened again after a few minutes but he was still there. I did it three times but I saw the same face. I wanted to get up but I couldn't so I prayed with my eyes closed. When I started to pray, my mouth was shaken so I just did it in my mind. Then I saw him passed through the windows with banisters. He was amazing but scary!

I told the story to my mom and she said she saw the same face. Since then, I never slept in their room and was afraid to stay home alone.
