Well thats what I do, make cards and craft........
Lately I have been feeling a little down by some of the negativity about, so I would like to send some good messages around the world.
Obviously I cannot send every member of blog catalogue a card, it would bankrupt me in postage charges but from now until Christmas, I will undertake to send two anywhere in the world...
To take part I will need two things from you: Firstly, I will need an address to send the card to, it doesn't matter to me if this is a PO box or a works address, but you will have to email it to me or use my shout box BUT if you do that please make sure you keep it private. My email address can be found on my blogger profile.
Then I want you to comment on this thread that you have emailed me and let me know a few favourite things that you like on a card. For example: flowers, scenery, cutesy, funny, mystical, arty.........I think you get the idea. Just so I have something to work with.
This is open to everyone wherever they live, whether they are male or female, black or white and whatever religion or not they may happen to have. (Thank you Rainforest Robin for your inspiration on that one)!
I will take them in the post order and update the thread whenever I have despatched one to let the recipient know it is on its way...
Happy Day
Chrissy

@Chrissy
Chrissy you are the dearest most amazing person!!! I applaud you for this wonderfully positive thread and I can hardly believe what you are doing. Somehow I can see this becoming something big. I'm not yet sure in what capacity but it is the immensity of spirit that lifts people above all the negativity. We think because things look bad or negative that we have to "stay" in that collective negative feeling or situation. Not so. We have much more power fro positive change than we often. As you know SO well!!!
Huge positive changes that have occurred in the world during hard/negative times did not occur because people resigned themselves to (and got caught up in) the negative situation or times. Positive change happened because brave people said, "Yes, this is happening. Yes, times are hard right now, BUT what can I do to make a difference? What can I do to help, to heal, to make people laugh, feel happy, etc.?
If I am going to exert energy I prefer to exert it in a way that brings about positive change, as opposed to getting caught up in arguing about who people vote for, what their religious beliefs are, etc. Why not just love and look for the commonalities, the place where I can make a difference. I feel better taking positive action, even if it seems small.
Again, you have a heart a mile wide. It would be neat if you didn't have to write in the card, but wrote on a separate piece of paper whatever note you wanted to send the recipient, and part of the deal would be that the recipient would have to pass the card on to another person. You could even call them PEACE CARDS or something like that. OR the "The Missing Peace: One Card At A Time". Or something??
I think everyone here should pass their cards on to someone else. With an inspiring note of peace or love or goodwill on a separate piece of paper). OR they could be made so that their is a place in each card for people to leave a one line message of peace. And they get passed on and on. You could also charge a fee for the cards (take out material costs and time) and then donate the money to a organization like KIVA or the GIRL EFFECT or anything.
Okay, well, I better stop here before this gets any longer. You're very inspiring. Thank you my dear friend. WOW!

Hey Robin, now all this is inspiring
Wow, have you provided some food for thought...
I like the idea very much of sending inspiring message being sent from one to another to another, it could be quite uplifting. I also have 101 thoughts for a suitable design but would have to do a little research...
I love it, you are an incredible person with such brilliant ideas:)
I am offline for a few days next week, I will have to give it lots of thinking time when I am unable to spend hours surfing..
It would be a great project to launch for the new year...
Anyone else got any thoughts?

@Irtiza104 and Kden, your cards have been made and will be winging their way across the miles this week..
Where is Amitchopra22? Hellooo, your card has been sent to you by email...
But, here it is too in case I haven't got your email address right:
Earthling, Mrwolf and Coolinstar9 next. It looks as though I will be able to take a rest after that, LOL -
This is the card for Coolinstar9 because I don't have an address. I have checked out his blog and he writes about personal development and feel good things. So I have made his card with a very peaceful scene.
Happy day Coolinstar9
Earthlings and Mrwolfs will be sent this week. (Mrwolf I hope you don't mind waiting an extra couple of days, I am sort of creating the image for yours)....
Greetings to you all

@chrissy .. hope you aren't feeling down anymore
and good stuff that you have been doing!
I thought I might shamelessly add .. if anybody wanted to spread good cheer with WEB greeting cards (that costs no postage!) .. you can check out PetLvr.com/ecards/ and even send up to 10 greeting cards at once.
Also, if anybody is interested in special images to be included (family?) I could upload and let you use that - until you are finished with it and all recipients have picked up their ecards.
PS: Like that mermaid and dragon card!-
Hey petlvr, I think I just got sad because so many people seemed to be sounding off at each other. People will never hold the same views in all the same things and it is the diversity of opinions that makes a forum a good place to be - but it gets to me if it all become abusive.
Anyway history! Thanks a lot for the comments, I hope you get a few shameless clicks on your e-cards
As I am typing I know that my last ones to earthling and mrwolf are now beginning their journey across the miles. Awe inspiring to think that my cards will get to places that I have never thought of, thousands of miles away.
I think maybe I am a sad person to think of such things but the power of the internet simply amazes me ;D
The good thing about this thread has also been that it led me to check out some different blogs which have all been really great.....

@alexfreshalex
Did you notice the date on this thread? It's 10/26/08 I know chrissymarie rarely ever visits and posts to this forum these days. She signs into BC about once a week roughly. If you would like to contact her directly then I suggest using her BC shoutbox or the contact information on her blog.
