I wanted to wish you all Happy Mother's day

Hand Prints
Little hand prints on the door-
It seems I'm always cleaning
Muddy footprints on the floor
Dog came in from the open door
Crayon marks on the bathroom wall
This whole darn place a mess
That's how it always used to be
But now it would look good to me
For then I would know that he was near
That little boy I love so dear
Though now the house is deathly calm
My heart still hears "I love you mom."
For although time has made us part
He left his hand prints on my heart.

My son gave me that poem with his handprints on last year (well, the fantastic teachers at his preschool had something to do with it, too).
I totally surprised myself and him by bursting into tears...lol

Now that I look at it again it's nothing like it!
Our poem starts 'Sometimes you get discouraged because I am so small'
But to be fair, it does mention handprints on the walls...
