It seems Iceland is actually up for sale on Ebay.
Would you buy Iceland if you could?

I don't think I would buy a chunk of Iceland just because its bankrupt but it seems to be pretty amazing all the same. -

Of course it is a hoax. They couldn't just sell Iceland...it would have to be traded for a country to be named later!!

I thought this would at least have made a news story but I did a search and couldn't find one for it. I would definitely buy Iceland.

If it was actually on sale and if I would have enough money then yeah, why not. I'd like to have my own country.
In fact, I would buy any country on sale if I had enough money. 
Nobody actually BELIEVED this one, did they?-
I doubt it but there are still people who believe strangers from Nigeria want to email them to do a special bank deal where they'd make millions. So, maybe. Incidentally, I just won the Swedish lottery for the third time, without even trying. Found out in an email, actually.

it'd be a funny joke if it wasn't so damn close to a truth.
reminds me of an article in "the onion" with a headline like "americans demand new financial bubble to give them false sense of security".
i hate it when people make jokes that are uncomfortably close to the truth.
