That is my question...will I lose my widgets, or post?

You won't lose any of your posts, but some of your widgets might heve to be installed again

I noticed you had something called "ad free stats" on your blog? Is this any good...I had statcounter, and well...i deleted it.

Now I have sitemeter, but I don't like it.

Not necessarily. It would be a good idea to backup your widgets first. Do a google for "blogger backup widgets" and you should find someone who has already done what you're trying to do and who can give you a complete a guide

I like the selection of Blogger templates at bloggerbuster.com . Not your usual styles.

Meta tags, if you have any. I lost one of my favourite since I forgot to back it up.

    Widgets, usually

I'm not sure and I could be wrong, but I was told that if you are changing from a 2 column to a 3 column blog, you will lose all your stuff.

if you use Windows Live Writer, all the problems of 2 coll to 3 and everything else will vanish, you'll also have your own backup copy of every post and the ability to change from wordpress to blogger to whatever - even back and forth.

Backup EVERYTHING... Widgets, script code in your css, your meta tags, and then feel free to change your template. There are a ton of sites out there to get blogger templates. In fact I wrote a post not to long ago featuring the ten best places to get them.

    good luck!

Definitely your old blogger template. Anyway, there's nothing wrong to change that thing especially if you don't like your current template.

When I changed my blogger template, I had to re-enter all my links. It's a lot of work!

I don't think you'll have this kind of problem if you use one of the blogger-provided templates, however.

U will lose lots if u're not careful. It's safer to download and save the original templates, all widget html scripts and so forth. And meta tags and links.

To play safe, use the blogger-provided templates as suggested by prosperewebitor. Unless, of course, if you are fluent with xml and html.

But usually templates come with instructions so... Good Luck!

I like my existing blogger template, but I checked this thread anyhow ~ in case I ever get a wild hair to change my template, I'll come back here to remind myself to NEVER do it!

either if you use Blogger or wordpress, you need and you must to re-write all the code into new one, in blogger you can save the template and save the widget code into notepad while in wordpress you can copy paste the code from the current theme into new one and preview it by clicking only the theme
