If "one" why we must different?

Topics: brotherhood, One, tolerance, unite
My thoughts are as follows:
Human has exist before any religions emerged in this earth. The universe has exist before the human. And... God has exist far before the universe, human and any religions.
Who is the owner of my soul, your soul, their soul, and all creatures in this world? If only one owner, then why we must be different? Moreover, human owns this earth together.
Like John Lennon said within his song Imagine: "...You may says I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one..."
The only problem was... did me alone???
Just a thoughts for brotherhood.

Your question made me remember this quote:
THE ONENESS OF THE WORLD OF HUMANITY
"White doves and gray doves associate with each other in perfect friendship. Man draws imaginary lines on the planet and says, "This is a Frenchman, a Musselman, an Italian!" Upon these differences wars are waged. Men are fighting for the possession of the earth. They fight for that which becomes their graves, their cemeteries, their tombs.
"In reality all are members of one human family -- children of one Heavenly Father. Humanity may be likened unto the vari-colored flowers of one garden. There is unity in diversity. Each sets off and enhances the other's beauty."
(Abdu'l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 25) -
I'm not sure I understand the problem. We are all like facets of the Source, as I see it. The whole point being that we are unique. Even animals are unique, though at lesser degree. It's the same diamond but different facets... Or the same ocean but different ripples or drops... Bad analogies but you get the point...? I believe that paradox is closer to the truth than the either-or way of thinking that we are used to. Either-or is an illusion that allows us to experience stuff through contrasts. The idea behind Oneness is that it's an illusion, so we are all one in a deeper sense.

LOL i dont remember saying this
????
anyway we are not one and that is the thing you have to understand, we are many parts to a whole and we must be different to survive
take a painting for example imagine if all the parts to a painting were the same?? no difference in colour... no difference in texture... would it even be a painting??, it does not depict everything

The simplicity of people being able to exist without the stupidities of false superiority is wrapped around one simple action: PAYING ATTENTION- to how someone says an expression,(example:[to a friend= see how simple./ in teaching= see HOW simple./ in frustration= SEE how..!?! SIMPLE!). We must be patient with those who have the beliefs of a DIVINE "Right", since they didn't create themselves, or the WORLD/ Universe, how CAN they know "the CREATOR'S intended designs and designations. As another example take the diamond, so prized. It has done nothing but sit under TONS of more useful materials until the intrinsic color is gone and its make-up will no longer support life in ANY form. While a rich nutrient laden soil is considered expendable, of such commonality that the blessing of quantity and availability is squandered for profitability. It is only the uniqueness of the spark that we call personality that provides the potentials that can be made useful to this WORLD.AND we must seek that to add to our own uniquenesses, to add to what we may have to give to this world when it is called on... great or small.

The owner should has full control on his/her properties. Unfortunately I even can't programing my health, when I should be sick, when I should not be hit by a car even when I have already rode my motorcar so carefully, or when I should die. Could you help me to have full control on my life and soul. I don't want to die before became a king of UK or president of US. I want this soul never leave the body at least before I got the same wealth as Bill Gate's. Please help me to own my soul...

I think the problem is confusing because the answer is two sided. God (if yo are a believer) doesn't seem to take part in daily micromanagement of world affairs and we are very much free do do as we please. Including do wrong and including harm ourselves and others. Yet deep inside we are similar and some see this as proof of one creator and I agree with them but that is not the point. The truth is that we come to this world profoundly similar deep inside but with varied talents and free will to use or wasted them as we wish still our rights remain the same but our lives and personalities are unique. In this we try to unite or identify with certain groups we find useful and that's the only way to reach our goals. Importunately sometimes such unity is turned against non-members and that is counterproductive, bad if not outright criminal.

"Although looked upon from different angles, from different perspectives, we all gaze upon the same shimmering stars at the end of each day. We all, as citizens of this planet earth, whether we call ourselves a believer, or not, share one dream.
That dream is Hope. Within our own faith structures, we hope that our ideals, our beliefs, can make this world a better place for each and every one of us. And, through our own forms of faith, we dream of a new world. A new world that embraces all people into one fabric of richly textured colors, creating a tapestry of wisdom that will serve our communities to its highest potential.
We all have value. The believers of each and every faith bring new perspectives, wisdom and a conscious awareness of that which binds us all together." -
thank you Mohandaslighque :-). Personality, or maybe more correctly individuality, seems to me to contribute to the great variety of creative expressions of the Universe that we can witness here on Earth. Unfortunately, belief systems seem to be the elements that create the most discord between people. If we could be unified under one umbrella of beliefs, maybe we'd do much better. However, this does not seem very likely. Thus we are faced with the arduous affair of trying to tolerate each other's world views... Maybe we are meant to work on this as a great challenge of the soul, dunno... but when Theresa just mentioned hope as an important element that brings us together, I couldn't help but think that most of us have actually LOST hope in these arduous times. So without some kind of divine intervention you do feel that people could self-destruct pretty soon. :-/

We divide god in religions for the same reason we divide the Earth into countries. To better control the people and resources.

It is hard to imagine that there is not some form of higher source that has brought us into existence. Science is incapable of explaining the human existence and the concept of God is equally mysterious. Each of us has to come to our own decisions regarding creationism vs evolution, leading each his own path.
Regardless of the true nature of things, religion is the most powerful tool for the control of the masses. More people have been killed in the name of God than from any other cause. It saddens me that human nature is inherently corrupt and desirous of power at the expense of the lives of the innocent but that is the way it is. We can all hope and pray for us all to just get along in harmony but we cannot deny the truth that there are those who will go to any extreme to control us for their own gain.
I am suspicious of any leader who uses the name of any God too freely, leaving me to question the sincerity of the message. How many times have we seen a leader praising his God in public and ordering the slaughter of his opponents in private?
Belief in something more powerful than ourselves is critical as it takes the focus of our own egos and leads us to make better choices as to how we treat those around us. The world will not live as one in my lifetime leading us to make choices that we would not wish for. We have the innate right to fight for our freedom rather than surrender to tyranny. We must always choose peace first but be willing to defend the right to choose our own path to the extent of giving our lives for it. Without this, our children and our grandchildren will pay the price of our inaction as slaves to a totalitarian world.
May we all live in peace with our eyes open. -
Hello Tikno
My immediate thought was that this is not a religious musing - For me the question is more like existential question - Ex; "why are the moon on the sky in the night and don't in the water on the day". Sometimes there is a experience of that a little child have a old man soul - in the way he behave...(are you familiar of that expression). There is a part of speech who say that we don't get more burden then we can wear...maybe that is true and sometimes there is the wonder of how heavy must it be. The owner of the problem is the person H/herself and the conscience and the action no one can blame that to another, the answer of the question we often find in our inner. That is magic.... Then there might is a god or the holy spirit to guide us...but...the most important thing in everything is that we have faith to ourself and that we do is right if not we can always blog about it or like you ask the question. Hopefully there will come some answer who can be the signposting of - why - if and - that...This is a good question and wake up several thoughts and reflections. -
The easiest answer is we are unique individuals and one in our humanness. Just like strings on a musical instrument, we each have our own sound and vibration, yet when played together we can create harmony or a musical muddle. We need to feel deep inside that we can accept and embrace our differences.

It's just like a tree, the seed is the unity but the tree has divided to many branches. Why not? To see many angles of this space-time.
Every exsistance includes thie entire Universe try to see themselves from the reflection, replica of themselves but this causes the difference.
If everything is the same it must be very very boring, and I'm sure that that's something Universe dislikes. This is like a law, changing, inside of the process of "Division","Exchange and mix the energy"and "Unite to become new".
There is no need to think too much about why, because there are answers as many as believes of exsistances.
And in addition, I guess "this Universe" and its system and so on is just one that we human-being recognize simillarily, and entire, true one is unrecognizeble because this means to observe from every ways of recognitions of all exsistances.
There aren't happenings because of encounters. Since we want to re-say hello again, there are happenings.
To just have a fun! ;-) Thanks a lot for taking your time;-) -
Hello and thanks for the invite to join your discussion. I do not like to advance an idea that is outside the perimeters of science, for all facts point to one truth, that we come from the genes of our parents and whatever we have individually become in life is a matter of choice. I am me, therefore I own my soul. I am me, therefore I am responsible for being me.
Just a simple idea. It might not answer your question, but it is my side of the story. Take care all!

As far as "why are we all different?", I'd have to say it's because the Great Spirit (God, YWHW, Alah, or whichever name you wish to use) loves wondrous variety *^_^*

In my opinion both Science and Religions are currently unable to explain the paradox of Creation the difference being Science does evolve as the knowledge of Mankind increases where as in most cases Religions do not evolve as the knowledge of Mankind increases...
At the end of the day however all Sciences and Religions are inevitably only as good as their users....-
At least religions also formed the goodness for human. Like the philosophy of the "Yin & Yang", both has formed a perfect creature in this world. That is the differences between human and animal. About the paradox of Creation, please use your inner senses. Perhaps, one of readers here could share their thoughts for you, the reason why I opened this discussion is to share each other and be based on healthy discussion.

One bread, one body, one Lord of all, one cup of blessings which we shared. And we though many throughout the earth, we are one body in this one world.

If it doesn't matter what we believe, or if it impossible to truly know what our Creator wants us to, then there is no excuse for why we shouldn't look upon one another as being brothers and sisters, but if it does matter, and if it is possible to truly know what our Creator wants us to, then true fellowship with others who believe differently from you is impossible. Now, this is not to justify fighting them. For we are given the freedom to choose what we want to believe in regards to what is important, but how can someone consider themselves a friend of another when they believe that they are headed for destruction and they have done nothing to help them see what they believe is the truth? Moreover, if you believe in a personal Creator, then everyone who does not want to believe that they were created to be His is hurting Him, and that is something that all who know this should seek to change--through persuasion, not force, of course.
-
Agree with you, no force. It doesn't matter what we believe as long as the goal is for goodness. We should respect to each person belief. The most important is we should aware that we came from one source, our soul, our connection for brotherhood as human being. Like the power of love which it could penetrate to religions differences.

Our "Soul" is our Divine Consciousness. The Divine Consciousness is that which endures our environment, physical body, emotions, any and all hang-ups, prejuduces etc.. Everything I named (environment, body, etc.) are tools to polish the our Divine Consciousness. If not used correctly, these tools will harm your Divine Consciousness.
We are all in "God School," if you will. Some are in Elementry School while other are about to graduate with a Masters. Many people fail and have to repeat a grade. It doesn't make them bad people. Everyone is in the environment (family, geographical location etc.) they need to be in to work on whatever it is they need to work on for the betterment of their Divine Consciousness. -
-
I'm not sure what you mean by force the differences.
It seems the trend throughout history is forcing conformity.
In order for the Utopian society that, imo, fools (such as Lennon who you quoted earlier), persue then Borg imperitives must be put into place.
"resistance is futile"; "You will be assimilated".
-
Differences between people is not meant to be a division, but rather a means of celebrating what makes each of us unique and individuals. All too often, society tries to force people into convenient little boxes rather then allowing for diversification.
-
Nothing is wrong with being different in the 'eyes of the church' unless your gay... or don't believe what they do... or question their actions... or think at all... or notice the corruption... or notice how many people are so obsessed with a story that is more preposterous than santa claus... that has caused more violence than good... that has oppressed many because believing denies you're unique abilities as a human......
no, nothing is wrong about being different if you are religious.-
You'll find I don't follow traditional church views:

Hi, I am going to tell you what the Bible says. I believe the Bible is the Word of God. It is our road map for life, telling us how to live.
In the 1st book of the Bible, Genesis, the fall of man is explained. It explains how we lost intimacy with God. See, it's not about religion, it's about relationship. Every human who is born inherits this original sin from Adam and Eve.
However, God had a plan to bring people back into a right relationship with himself..."For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son and whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
The Bible also tells me that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus died and believe in my heart that he was raised from the dead, I will be saved (that is in Romans 10:9).
I hope that makes sense! Jesus tells us that He is the way, the truth, and the life, nobody can come to the Father except through Him!-
Dear LoriLaws,
I admire of your faith for teaching the goodness and teaches human about love / affection. But... do you also think that the other religions or beliefs, such as Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist, Confucius, Islam, Zen Buddhism, also teaches the goodness????
That is not wrong if we want to go to one point (want become a good man) through Jesus, Muhammad, Siddhartha Gautama, Confucius, or other prophets. Like many way go to Rome.
WE ARE WAITING for your reply, LoriLaws.

Thank You
I was flattered that you would ask for my input concerning your questions of God.
I have given considerably thought in my answer and referenced it through the scripture. I must say that it would not be fair to take the space of this forum so instead you will find it posted in my blog. I am supplying a link for you and your readers who care to take the time.

May God Bless,
Matt.-
Dear Mattmilamii,
Thank you for an interesting reply. I admire to your wisdom.
I quotes your post below:
"Religion is an invention of man, a tradition that resulted from God's creation of man. Not directly placed by God, but allowed by Him. It is man that has fractured it, placed individual definitions, and caused separations among men."
My question: Did you mean has fractured from ONE source? -
Ephesians 4:3-6 (NIV)
3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
About The Source
Here Paul addressed the Church Body concerning unity; but his address makes clear the position of faith and God. No matter what you say you believe in, there is still only one faith and one God. He is the source of all faith and Father of all. If my father gave my brother some money, which he then gives to me, and I in turn give to my son; each of us would have different claims as to where the money came from. Our claim has no barring on the original source. So it follows that no matter what you place your faith in, faith itself originates from God. We may not understand it or we can deny it altogether; it still changes nothing. One source for all, one faith in all, and one God over all.

Thank you for asking me for a little input.
In Zen Buddhism, they say that no one owns his self.
In Shobogenzo, which is a copious philosophical work of Master Dogen in the 13th century in Japan, he says that your feelings and thoughts are like mountains, rivers, and lands.
It means that your own self (mind and body) doesn't belong to you.
As far as I am concerned, the soul is another name for Love, Buddha, Tao and Zen.-
Dear Naoto,
Let me knows if I'm wrong. Zen Buddhism focuses on attaining enlightenment through meditation. It teaches that all human beings have the Buddha-nature, or the potential to attain enlightenment. I believe Zen Buddhism also teaching the goodness and have the effort to lead people out from the nature of evil and the "ego". That is our brotherhood among religions.
Emptiness is existence, and existence is emptiness. The illusion from "one".
I beg you to find similarity (the same goal of faith) among religions in this world through your meditation. You'll find the "one". And also through your meditation, maybe you'll find the origin of your soul.

Hey Tikno, it's a great thing that you are seeking answers! Like I said before, I believe the Bible is the uncompromising Word Of God...
Part of your question..."That is not wrong if we want to go to one point (want become a good man) through Jesus, Muhammad, Siddhartha Gautama, Confucius, or other prophets. Like many way go to Rome."
There are not many ways. Jesus was extremely clear when He said, "You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and it's gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it." Matthew 7: 13-14
Also, listen to what God is telling us through the prophet Jeremiah..."In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartily, you will find me. I will be found by you," says the Lord. Jeremiah 29: 12
Just ask God, He says He will show Himself to you:)-
Dear LoriLaws,
First, perhaps the post from Mattmilamii within his blog with the title "Question From Tikno" can be a reference for you. He was also a Christian and he has gave the link above.
I mean it's not wrong if we want go to "Rome city" by plane, ship, or through the land. That was my analogy for how to explain. The most important is our effort to go to the same POINT (God). Please see to what I mean and NOT to my words.
But... you have NOT reply to my MOST IMPORTANT question to you above. A question to YOUR HEART, and I repeat it again below:
Do you also think that the other religions or beliefs, such as Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist, Confucius, Islam, Zen Buddhism, also teaches the goodness??? -
This kind of thoughts and beliefs were source of disaster in humanity. Faith, strong faith is good. But when we can't explained why we believe it, then it is very illogical if we said ours is the ONLY WAY.I also believe Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to attain The Father. So if I want to love God as Paramour Lover, how could Lord Jesus help me? I do love my father so much, but a certain lady has steal my heart. She is my love, my life and soul. I can tell a lie to my father but I never kept any secret from her. Thus my love for her. If I want to love God with such a deep affection how I could rely on Lord Jesus? He only said about The Father...

If you wish to find the answers to your questions, you certainly have to struggle with patience and continuous searching. One cannot come to the full knowledge of God through his mind alone, but he must also use his heart/soul. The mind can only comprehend so much, and much confusion about God is founded in the mind, but in the heart, one is able to practice love, patience, humility, obedience and all the other virtues. God who is love will be revealed to him who loves. God who is long-suffering will be revealed to him who is patient. God who is humble will be revealed to him who is humble. But who among the rational thinkers is able to think God up or to judge the nature or essence of God? Through the heart one is able to experience God more purely than one who spends his time thinking. Prayer is food for the soul, while knowledge is food for the mind. Practice both and by God's grace you will find your way back to Him.
I believe in the Holy Trinity. Some useful articles are located here:

To reinforce what Ms. Laws has already said, Christ Jesus proclaimed, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me." {John 14:6} Therefore, it all comes down to truthfulness. For if what He has made absolutely clear is true, pursuit of any other way to obtain a higher plane of existence (so to speak) is a utter waste of time, and if is untrue, inclusion of Him in any discussion of such is pure folly. For He obviously did not know what He was talking about at best, and is a blatant liar at worst.
Yes, it can be argued that Christ Jesus was referring to when He was a part of this world, but He is still here--just as much as He has ever been, even at the very beginning and until the very end. So, no replacement for Him has ever been necessary, and this includes the Christian church--much to the chagrin of many. -
If i can see the less of me, and the more of you. If i can talk less of me, and more of you. If i can take less from you, give more to you. If i can feel less for me, and feel more for you, and that's what i call BROTHERHOOD.
A God is not a God,if the God expects something in return for something that God is doing for you.
The guardian of soul can only come from my conscience..
thank bro, love you discussion -
They are all false religions. To put it simply, No. They alone are not good, and cannot teach "goodness." God tells us the human heart is deceitful and wicked...only God is good. We can only get to Him through His Son, Jesus.
-
Dear LoriLaws,
As you have said "They are all false religions", then I CAN NOT say anything more. Maybe someone could give an enlightenment.
From me to you:
The more we look for differences and resistance, then the more far away from "one". However, I still thinking that your faith for goodness is same with other, who also have the same goal.
Peace for all.

Who owns my soul? No one does. I am my soul! So who owns me! No one. I am not owned, but I do belong. What we belong to determines who we are. If I choose to belong to a religion, a political party, a union, a gentleman's club, a women's rights movement, an environmental group, or any other "belongingness" I am identifying myself, my being, with that cause. That cause becomes me and all my energy and thinking is directed towards that cause which I choose to believe in. That belongingness may also be a relationship.
But all these things to which we attach ourselves tend to control us, and thus "own" us. In reality we are not owned. We are free, but mostly we don't realize it.
Religion, all religion without exception, is a distortion of what is truth. Religions of today are the result of practices being passed down though the ages which have lost their meaning. We pray, yet know not what prayer is and believe not that prayer will work. We hope yet fear the worst, full of doubt. We learn words from books which become meaningless outside of the context of argument.
All religions teach love, forgiveness and tolerance, yet very few pay heed to these simple instructions. When religion and its "truths" become more important than love, then religion has failed.
Jesus summed it all up into two instructions, love god and love everybody else. By this he was saying that we should love others, love ourselves and love the Divine part of all of us, God, for all are ONE, and all are connected.
On this earth we are obliged to love. Nothing else matters. All else must be done in the context of love. When we don't we end up with wars, violence, mistrust, divorce, hatred, racism, murder, theft, addiction, and so on. If we consider everyone we meet on the street as equal, the same as us, then all the preconceptions from our belongingness fade away.-
Indeed, no one owns your physical-body. And about your soul, it belong to the God.
No one is perfect in this world, even including religion. But, however, "good" religions has played big role to save human from "the jungle world".
I use the word "God" (named God), is because I use English. In Chinese language (Pinyin) said "Tian" or "Shang Di", Italian: "Dio", French: "Dieu", etc. Wow... many words just for ONE GOD (PERSON).
I really like to your description about love, that is the essence in life, and I should quotes the part of your sentence above, that is:
"...love ourselves and love the Divine part of all of us, God, for all are ONE, and all are connected."
-
-
looks to me a very good discussion. Don't know exactly what to say after seeing so many comments. In the end, I can only say..God is ultimate owner of my soul and in general. everyone's soul.
Yes, I completely agree to what Tikno said - "love ourselves and love the Divine part of all of us, God, for all are ONE, and all are connected."-
Tikno asked what I thought of this discussion so I thought I'd give my two cents. Because I do not see any evidence of any supernatural realm I don't agree that humans have souls and the owner of the world and everyone or anything else is no one (however each individual owns their own body). All species on this plant live together hopefully harmoniously. And I agree that all people and all species are essentially one; we're all related. That's the magnificent part.

Your "soul" thing make my head spin a bit... need to think and give a meaningful comment later. but if you don't mind, here is my spinning head told me.
1) God is my owner, everything from heavens and earth and everything in between
2) Your soul? Your responsibility lol. Your soul is what drives you. Bad? Good? Your soul = you!
3) Why we differ from each other? To learn, to argue, to discuss, to find the truth. If there are all beauty in this world, we will never know what is the meaning of bad. and because we know the different between beauty and bad, everybody are trying to avoid the bad and pursue the beauty.
4) Human not own this Earth, human just live and responsible for this earth (+ responsible for among ourselves) together. In Islam, we take care for our other Muslims not because we want to dominate the world (Muslim don't need to dominate the world at all, because life on this earth is just a very small waiting room for the next-great-god-knows life; and to go there we must open up the 'death-door'), we just want to make sure that even after we open up the death-door and walk away from this world, other Muslims left here then still have the space/ mind/opportunity to act and react responsibly to secure their good death-door as well.
Tq
*spinning head-
OneMuslim,
For no. 1 & 2: Yes, each people have responsibility to his/her soul. If you believe that God is the Owner then that is its point. But... I believe there is only one God. God for all, the Owner of universe. Please read my comment for Jimmurdoch, for what I mean to the word "God".
For no.3: It's beautiful if each people thinking like this and like Amzolt describes about unity in diversity above.
For no.4: Agree, human not own this earth, just live temporarily. -
Should i elaobrate more on number 3? Actually I don't expect to find the answer just by viewing the talk show about artist and fashion but I found this simple answer, about differences and union.. If to peoples meet each other, it is no use if both of them are too similar because in that case, one person is enough for the idea and perspectives. Also, if both of them are far too different, that meeting should also became useless because both of them can't work together and their union just pulling more and more trouble. So that variety and similarities should come to a certain limit, which can be tolerated from both A and B. maybe they are different in ways of thinking, lifetsyle etc but if they have an overlapped goal, they should best working together.
okay back to your one God for all, I do believe (and if you ask any Muslim as well they may give about similar opinion), I actually only believe in Allah, one God for all. No matter who you are or what your religion are in, the one and only God is there. Its up to you then to choose because God create us to think and make a wise decision, about life, about actions, about spiritual and Goddess as well.
You can deny that God, but its no use because it is just your perspective. And for today, the problem arise because we can't have a direct contact with god, or through any messenger like the past time, so 100% is based on our own intellect and honesty to believe on something. About religion and for people who seriously want to find the truth and select the truth, deciding 'my religion' as the one and only true and condemning others is not the smart method, as peoples doing years of research to reveal the truth on science and other field of studies, that method of comparing and honest analysis before producing the conclusion should also be applied when you are finding your God.
So, for those who are just play the 'take for granted', this is serious, wake up, go and find the truth, and makesure you follow the real one. The common question? "I believe my religion is true (all people have this), but what if I am wrong? (not so many people extend their though into this one)"
Apparently, all religion are giving the similar teachings but please, we need more on that, we need to be able to differentiate which one is 'god created' from all 'human created' and 'human manipulation' religion. Way to interesting to type on but that way is just too long, find it yourself & don't be lazy. It is just for your own good. -
OneMuslim,
Wise thought. Hopefully can enrich this discussion. Thank you.
If you read the dialog between me and Jyotishman, that is more than religion matter. The reason why I opened this dialog.
In my perspective, relationship between human and God is like vertical line, and relationship among human is like horizontal line. Tells the truth vertical line to our fellow is our responsibility but we can not force it. On horizontal line, lets work together in harmony because it is fully of human business.
ArizonaAtheist also said that we are all essentially one and related because of genetic heritage. I think this is one of the good thinking for brotherhood.

God is the owner of everything. He is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega. We are just creatures, created in God's own image (from the book of Genesis 1 and 2)
God gave us the so called "FREE will" thus, allowed us to be different in our ways. God love us, created us in his own image. But with the sinful nature of man, many of us desire to be more like and sometimes even above God.
Furthermore, there are things that we don't understand and will never understand. Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us about this fact: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways, my ways saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."

Brother, Do Not Misinterpret John Lennon. His Soul Would Hurt Terribly!
Or Somehow, The Way You Have Asked The Question Needs A Modification!
John Lennon Always Believed That Love Will Save Us All. Save Us Against Whom, What? Boundaries, Religious Monopolies, Terrorized Hatred And Things Like These! He Never Said Let's Convert Into 'One', But We Can Be 'Diverse' Culturally, Religiously And Yet 'Humanity/Brotherhood' Should/Will Bring Us Together, Make Us 'One'! Dreamer? YES! It's A Beautiful And Tough Dream!
And About 'Different'! Well Brother, Your Question "If one why we must different", I Don't Know Exactly To What You Are Hitting At But, Since You Used The Word 'Different' I Will Most Definitely Say, We Should Be Proud Shamelessly About Being Different! Come On, It Isn't Any Anti-human And Inhuman!
Cheers.-
Jyotishman,
Brother, I'm not specifically interpret its lyric, just simply want to say that you may says I'm a dreamer. Please not focuses to the words and sorry if my English not so good because it's my second language.
Feel the purpose of this discussion, that is to raise the awareness of the fundamental brotherhood of human. All human came from one source. If you realize it then please explain to me about "hand-made" (made in human) differences, that is: War (I don't care its reason, but since man kill man, I said: the foolish war). Religious fanaticism and underestimate to others, or even resistance. Racism (I'm glad in South Africa has ended). How about Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland. Why there's swimming pool specifically for black or white. All are Made In Human.
-
-
The way I see it we were all blessed with unique minds that allow us to interpret life and truth in different ways. In that sense our experience on earth will never be exactly the same as someone elses. But what unites us all is the human condition- we are all exposed to sadness, to loss, to joy, disease, hope, death, etc...We also inhabit the same planet. So this is why whenever we can we must help each other out and not argue over differences
-
Stellak,
I see when the natural disaster happened, human will naturally unite together to help each other, and don't care anymore to the differences of religions, ism, race, skin color. A proof that actually we are brother. When I see a pregnant mother killed by a murder on TV, although in different city far away from me and don't know each other, suddenly my inner sense react.

Who says that god existed then or now - god is another one of mans creations - it is all in the mind
-
Hi Tikno,
Well, the reason I say that we are all essentially "one" and related is because of genetic heritage. Every species on this planet is a relative of everything else. Because of that the human species all spring from the same family and therefore we're all related to some degree, even people we've never met.-
Hi ArizonaAtheist,
The fundamental brotherhood of human in worldly life is genetic heritage (as like you said above). I'm glad you said that we are all essentially "one". Thank you!
But... at the other hand (in spiritual or religious matter) actually there is God and only one God. Usually human will realize it (or have sense for it) when facing the last minute, but it's too late!!
-
-
Hi there again Tikno,
You're welcome. Yeah, I do agree we're all one, but I think the real reason many people convert on their deathbed is because of their fear of death.-
Hello ArizonaAtheist,
There is always two basic elements, like: black & white, + & -, etc. Even a supercomputer is actually run based on electric signal "on & off" (coded with 1 or 0).
It seems you like to think logically. Okay, below is a GAME on the deathbed:
If you believe in God, but God not existed, then you NOT lose anything for the next. If you erroneously not believe in God, but God existed, then for the next you lose everything.
Please answers it in your heart, because I will not debate on these matter. I choose to believe in God. On your turn... just place your bet!
-
-
Hi Tikno,
Ahh... Pascal's wager. : )
Well, allow me to answer your question with another.
This wager is totally dependant upon the chrisitan/islam/hindu, etc.,etc. god being true, so how do you know you're betting on the correct god?
What are your thoughts? -
Tikno,
You didn't answer my question; I wasn't asking about miracles, but congratulations on the new addition : )
As far as babies being miracles, depending on how you use the word, a baby can be a miracle. A new life brought into this world that the parents will cherish is a miracle, but if you're talking about something "supernatural", something that needs divine intervention then I'd say that a baby is not a miracle because we have quite a bit of knowledge about how a baby forms and why, and how genes work during development that cause all these changes that you speak of and whatnot.-
Some one may said, "Seeing is believing"
So one said, "I have already saw God with my eyes"
How could you know that is God?
How could you know that is not God?
If that is God why only you see Him?
If that is God why He should show Himself to you too?
I need proofs for God existence!
How if the proofs weren't valid?
How we know the proof is valid or not?
There's no need to believes in God.
How do you know what others' need?
Okay, just be yourself!
-
To Tikno,
Concerning your question addressed to me above. Yes, I think that all other religions teach goodness, good works to be exact. Sometimes, we just don't understand others, just like Muslim. But their core beliefs is still in good works.
However, when it comes to salvation. I must tell you that I am a strong Biblicist, therefore if you would ask me whether or not they are save, I would say they need Jesus Christ as what the Bible says.
In the Bible, good works cannot save us Ephesians 2:8-10. But it should be a product of our salvation in Christ.
God bless!!!-
@Tikno
"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:9-11)
It is by the name of Jesus Christ ... Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. - Acts 4:10,12
This is the claim of The Bible and this is what I believe is the word of God. When you accept Jesus into your heart he becomes alive in you it is the best feeling I have ever experienced. Much joy, happiness, energy, incredible feeling! The more time you spend with the word and Jesus the more you are transformed in his likeness. -
Dear ThomasCSlater,
About the claim? I still thinking like my answers to you above, and I'll quote it again here:
"let each group to have claim as long as in their own border. As we may make a claim in our own home but remain living in harmony with neighbor"
I really really appreciate your faith as well as the other faith. If each group claiming each other for their own truth, then I fear the world will be far from peace. Please read my dialog with Jyotishman in this discussion. You will find that there's more than just religion matter. Please think about it, because I believe even Jesus will be sad if these condition happened. Let's pray for the cross-war does NOT RECUR again!!!
Just do your responsibility to tell the truth but DO NOT force it. Relationship between human and God is very personal and like a vertical line (see my dialog with OneMuslim). Let's hand side by side on horizontal line.
-
I see each person in this discussion is come from various background of religion/belief, culture, etc. Why each of you not interact/dialog to each other but only to me? Believe... a healthy discussion with your brother who have different background perhaps will enrich our insight together.
Oh... my baby cry now. Good night to all of you. I will logout and hurry to kiss him. -
Some good progress to noted are:
1) Berlin wall has destroyed.
2) China success with "One country, two system".
3) Europe unite in a currency.
4) Internet technology or social network like Blogcatalog, Facebook, Blogging, etc, already penetrate the country limit and unify people in one screen.
That's good and lets pray for the next good progress. -
Well my friend, i feel-think, we seem different and separated but it's just only an ilusion made by our dualistic perception (from our dualistic human mind). However, we both Know in our hearts that we are One, and All is One, and we are that One dreaming himself like diverse, multiple, different. But this is our own joke, the One's joke, so i guess we will have enought time to laught, hahahahahaha, the eternity, hahahaha, while we waking from sleep. It's been a long, long dream and the night is ending.
Deep peace to you and everybody.

Wonderful! You have such a thoughts, thx for invited me to say some things on these points.
I'm a Madhva Goudiya Vaishnavite. It is part of Vedic religion. We accepted a doctrine called Achintya-bheda-abheda-tattva. Bheda means different. Yes everything was individually different. Our Acharya Srimad Anandatirtha or Sri Madhva classified these differences in five general categories called Pancha-bhedam. 1.God and us were different (I and you are not God and never became God). 2.God and nature were different. 3. Our self and nature were different. 4. One soul with other souls were different (I'm not a same person with you). 5. One natural substance with others were also different. Everything substantially and naturally was in variegated-ness conditions. For without any differences will not be any relationship.
So everyone, every soul, every individual person has differences and also relate to nature and God in various different forms of relationship. Based on this view there is different way, different methods, and different goals or aims for every one. Because differences were natural and substantial we have to accept and respect them.
But there were also many similarities. A child share some of his/her parent qualities. This was also natural. Because God is our common source, the sole source of all beings and nature, we could also find some similarities between us and God or also among us. We are related to each other and unified with one common source, that is God. All of us emanated from God's own energy which also unseparated from God's Supreme Personality. This what we called Abheda.
So simultaneously we were different and also indifferent. This is inconceivable expression of God's wonderful power or Achintya-sakti.
With this realization and consciousness we relate to each other, with nature, and also with God. So what is the point?
Though we may have same common source, but naturally we were different with each other. So we relate or built relationship differently in various ways. No one could say because there is ONE source or creator or some said ONE TRUE GOD, then everyone has to do the same thing. This is illogical and unfair also unnatural. Because differences were substantially true. Various ways or various methods also naturally give us different goal. So how if the goal is should be ONE, the sole source of everything? It must be one is the true goal and other are false. But according to the Vedas' teachings this only applicable if we talk about relative reality not for Absolute reality.
The Supreme Absolute Truth the ONE TRUE GOD has inconceivable nature and at His mere will, manifested in various TRUE FORMS and facilitate all souls natural expression of attachment to God according to their state of spiritual development and level of consciousness. This is possible only for God, as the ultimate Supreme Personality.
Could that our goal was false or wrong? Surely could, if you want the wrong one and has affinity to the false thing. So automatically you will choose wrong path and attain false goal. But even if this is what happened to you. Still as an individual personal being or soul you have a right and independence to decide that, with all its consequences. But though it may be actually wrong or false, it is a truth for an individual person who want it. So we have to respect ones decision. Never unnecessarily interfere with others'choice. Force someone to follow our view or belief was unnatural and childish.
So that we do should treat nature. Respect nature as part of God's energy. Inseparable from God though it is not God Himself. Since the source is ONE. Anything we feel violating for our self or give us pain, others also feel the same. Not only to our own race or humanity, but a deep respect and non violence should be showed to other beings and nature. You should not tolerate other but you should accept them as precious as yourself. If you say tolerate, then one part was unworthy and other was worthier, but you have to tolerate. NO! Tolerance was crookedness and hypocrisy. You should accept everyone as "non-different" from your self. That's how the Vedas teaches us to lives peacefully together. -
none can deny the fact that all human are one familly , and e are divieded to many parts , and this principle is mentioned in islam , God almighty says in the holy Quran "O mankind! We have created you from a single pair male and female (from Adam and Eve), and Allah has made you nations and tribes that you may know one another. (not that you should hate one another). Lo! The noblest of you in the Hereafter, (in the sight of Allah; on the Day of Judgment), is the best in conduct in this life of the world. Verily, Allah is All knowing, and is Well aware of all things.
-
Hbailla,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. But I think... the most important is... how is you views toward those who have different belief. Say... with Tamela who right at the bottom of you. Do you also consider her like your sister? Why I refers you to Tamela? Because actually there is brotherhood between the two religions.

hello Tikno,
Thank you for the invite Tikno as you know I am a Christian which means: "Christ Jesus within" and i believe God's Holy Word "the Bible" I believe that the God of the Bible is the Creator of the heavens and the earth as well as all living things and people. We are all like a piece of the puzzle and when all the pieces of the puzzle are put together a picture will unfold(this doesn't mean that it is going to be a beautiful picture with all being in oneness and unity) I also believe that God created all of mankind with a free-will. I believe that within the heart of all mankind is a heart to worship but who or what they worship is man's choice. And who or what we choose to worship becomes owners of our souls. Some worship the devil therefore they have sold thier souls to the devil, thus it is who they have chosen to give their life to. And who or what you give your life to will work through you in some way or another either for good or for bad. I have given my life to God (Jesus Christ) that is who i worship so i belong to God(Jesus Christs'). And because i am Jesus Christs the Word of God says that i have been set free, for whom the Son of God (Jesus Christ)sets free is free indeed. Free, meaning being freed from sin and shame and from the bondage of fear and wickedness, and in trust and confidence in Jesus Christ i know that my eternal destination without doubt is with Jesus and my Heavenly Father. The Word of God says that when we believe in Christ we are immediately ushered to dwell in His home and thusly there is freedom in the confines of His House.. Ps. 23:26 Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever, this is Spiritual which affects our physical being and our spirit "now" and for eternity. -
Hi Tikno, we need to be different because we are from different idea, techniques, locations, tribes and languages if not different how can you use the internet, computer, television etc which was discovered by scientists..., isn't it???
-
i just have to say i really don't know. before the truth comes out, i just have to admit that we know nothing. if truth never comes, we just have to follow our true nature: try to know, and be creative.
-
Truth is mystery, so let the truth reveal itself. Absolutely agree with you. At least, at this point, we certainly know the tendencies to divide and differ among our selves were already there. Because anyway we never can be uniformed. You and I are not same...But at the same time this is also our common nature. So what we can do just to promote understanding among us and appreciate uniqueness of everyone. To love and accept all humanities as one family, regardless their various differences.
-
Us Christians have been working on this problem for a little over 2000 years. We've made considerable progess, although unfortunately some dork decided to make the Pope the head of a country and then begin invading the Balkans, Saxony, England and Russia to try and spread Christianity by force. Christianity then had to spend the next 1000 years sorting out the mess that said dork had created, with new denominations, cultural resistances, counterinvasions, and political subterfuges that have still not entirely burned themselves out. Who knows, maybe the Chinese will be able to sort it out.

One Love, one Heart
Lets get together and feel alright...
PS: Hey Tikno, have you ever heard this one? It`s great.-
Hello Haver,
Oh... so beautiful! Thank you very much for sharing the great message to everyone. To all visitors... don't close your eyes and feel the love!
Haver, may I use this image for posting on my blog? for spreading the spirit of love and brotherhood, and lead my blog readers visiting this discussion. Hopefully, You, Dasanrangarajan, and all people here will do the same (by own writing).
Our goal (I quoted the comment from Dasanrangarajan at above): To promote understanding among us and appreciate uniqueness of everyone. To love and accept all humanities as one family, regardless their various differences.

Hi Tikno!
I'm glad you enjoy it
Oh yes, you can use it as you like, cos it's not mine, hahahahahaha ooooh, hahahaha. This image is in the web "photobucket" with many others. When i saw it, i said my self: ohhh, perfect, what I was looking for!
And yes, every human being is beautiful and unique, and we are a truly family: all of us have a heart, a body, a mind; all of us we do feel, love, dream, live, cry and share in our common home -The Earth-, in our common land -the Universe.
So come on, let´s get together and feel alright. I love you all, my brothers. -
hello Tikno,
I understand what you are trying to say when it comes to my faith and Hbailla's. The difference between me and Hbailla is that my Savior is "Jesus Christ" and her savior is Mohammed. There is a big difference, and according to the Holy Bible no man can come unto God except through Jesus Christ.. Jn. 14:6 Jesus said unto him i am the way the truth and the life No man cometh unto the Father but by me. Hbailla's religion as well as many others take Jesus Christ out of the equation when it comes to God. God is only pleased when you accept His Son Christ Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.. He sent His son to die for the sins of all of mankind so that we could oneday be with them both in eternity. Jesus is the only way Tikno according to the Words of God. But i love all of God's people and all of His creation and would hope that all would come to know His Son Christ Jesus who gave His life for all of mankind.. He loves us more than any god out there. For He is the "True" God according to the HOly Bible.-
Hello Tamela,
I'm SAD knowing you are just presenting the differences. I did NOT ask about the differences because each religion has the different way in teaching goodness, but I see this as a mutual struggle from all religions (in teaching goodness). About the claim...? please read my answer to ThomasCSlater at above.
I have Christian and Muslim friends. They said, actually Christian and Muslim are brother. For more wide, Hbailla also said (quoted from his comments): "None can deny the fact that all human are one family". So, how can you prove that Christian and Islam indeed are brother? This is the point of this discussion.
In this opportunity I'm sending my request to Dasanrangarajan and Haver, to say something to Tamela. I believe both of you have a lovely comment. -
Our Brother Tikno asked me to say something to Pamela. But Pamela already believed firmly in her ONLY TRUE GOD of THE BIBLE. So, let it be. We have to admitted this difference. Let's we just take that ONE TRUE GOD of her Bible as He is.
That's mean My GOD is a false god for her, though I strongly believe My GOD is The ONLY TRUE GOD. But that's all right. Now let we just hear and see, what this FALSE GOD taught me in His Word! Click www.4shared.com/file/119996100/941af74c/GET_IT_HERE_.html and download His Messages.
Pamela's "TRUE" GOD only pleased when all of us accept Jesus Christ, His Only Begotten Son, as our Lord and Savior. But my "FALSE" GOD (according to Pamela's Bible) pleased when we hear His messages, His loving call for everyone, and when we lives according to His divine universal law. My God pleased when I can have complete confidence in my self. When I can learn how to love everyone as much as I love my very self. When I have the same compassion, patience, and affection as My God is to all creatures. My God doesn't want to make ONLY ONE WAY. My God created so many ways, to accommodate all beings' various differences.
This God considered every single entity in this world as His most precious and beloved parts and parcels. He overlook any discrepancy in me, keep patience in my endless faults and ignorance, forbear my transgression of His universal law, and readily accept me, though I have abandoned this God for thousands times.
He made so many ways, so anyhow every soul can reunite with Him. He express His love by unlimited ways and provides us with His utmost affection without any condition. Once I need Him, He come to heal my sorrow, but when I again abandon Him, He just wait patiently. For bestowing His grace, He need no body to sacrifice for us. He already showered His mercy without discrimination. Thus my TRUE GOD and Pamela's FALSE GOD's immense love to all being. And He pleased when I try to learn, how to love all of His creatures as He loves them.
I don't know my God is a TRUE or a FALSE one. But certainly I know He loves me so much, with pure affection, without any condition. Naturally I know, He will be pleased with me if I also try to developed this kind of unlimited love. And naturally I will try my best, because I also love My God. NATURALLY also, I'm always trying to please my beloved One!
So My God will be pleased when I loves our brothers and sisters, like Pamela. Never looking their faults, never saying their God is false, never saying they took a wrong path and throw them out or condemned them publicly. If your brother or sister do something wrong, do you will laugh at them, tell everyone about their foolishness, condemned them for eternal punishment, or beat them in front of everyone? Certainly NO! Since you love them. When you really love all God's people and all His creations (as Pamela said), then you'll never hurt them physically, or even by any word, or just any thought in your mind.
I don't know, did it hurt to hear someone said your God is false and you take a wrong religious path. But for me, it was hurt and I don't want other God's people and creatures get the same pain, because I love them all as my God loves. That's what I learned from My God's Words. Did He a False or a True God? I don't know. Only that far I know.

Dear brother Dasanrangarajan,
Oh... I'm very glad and would like to quotes a few here:
Human: "I asked Lord Krishna to make my spirit grow."
Lord Krishna: "You have to grow by yourself! But I will prune you to make you bear fruit."
Human: I asked Lord Krishna to help me LOVE others, like He loves me.
Lord Krishna: .... ohhh, you finally got the idea....... -
Yes we do need more love for all. Love should be distributed for one and all. Actually, from Lord Jesus Christ we also could learn the most important meaning of love. It is to giving, to sacrifice, to take others' pain so they can be relieved from their pain. The Christians said Lord Jesus suffered for atonement of our sins, human sins. These sins actually our burden and the consequences for these sins were eternal pain, suffering, and sorrow. We abandoned THE LORD GOD, but still THE LORD give His Only Son to take our sufferings out of His Love. Lord Jesus Christ actually could be an ideal for us to follow. He is a Personification of Love and Compassion. Did you know what I feel when I saw Him on The Holy Cross? And also when I heard His Words as quoted by Tamela?
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me" (Jn. 14:6)
I asked Him in my heart, "Did You really did this for us, Lord? If what You said were true, then let me Love others, like You love them. I shall follow Your way, I shall take Your Truth, and I shall lead my life as You did. You should share the burden of Your Cross with me. I shall not let You suffer alone! You may take me to The Father or not. Just by seeing Your Form of Sacrifice, I don't care about heaven or hell anymore. If they only have You as their only way to Father and that's mean eternal happiness for them. Then delivered all of them. Make them, anyway, to accept You! If they reject You and have to suffered for eternity. Then, You should teach me how to take their cross as You did, and take all of them to Your Father!"
That kind of Love and compassion, I have learned from Lord Jesus Christ. Many of our own Acharyas in Vaishnavite Hinduism also prayed for the same thing. They also taught me as what Lord Jesus did. Srimad Ramanujacharya said, "Let me suffers for eternity in hell for their sins. Let me take their pain. But You, My Beloved LORD, have to give salvation to all of them".
In Mahayana Buddhism they also have Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The Bodhisattva decided to lives in Hell until the place became empty. He stays with the suffering souls, to at least, could pacify and gave them a little feeling of not being lonely in their severe punishment of hellish extreme sorrow and pain. Could you imagine some social workers who help peoples destroyed by famine in a deserted part of Africa? With scorching heat, etc. They help other peoples, but they also experience the difficult situation. That is just a certain part of our earth. What about the real Hell as imagine by religious peoples? But Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha said, "If I'm not go, who else will go?". This Bodhisattva then become ideal model for Buddhists. They said, "We will go there with you!" That is how Lord Ksitigarbha became the way, the truth, and the life for all.
So in my humble opinion, that is the right way for true devotees of Jesus, the disciples of Srimad Ramanujacharya, and the followers of The Buddha should think and lead their lives.

you are right everything in this universe is interconnected and part of the same whole WE LIVE INSIDE THE THING THE THING LIVES INSIDE US
i am writting below the english transalation of a sanskrit universal prayer
May good befall all,
May there be peace for all
May all be fit for perfection,
May all experience that which is auspicious
Om, May all be happy. May all be healthy.
May we all experience what is good and let no one suffer.
the teaching is that if one does good to others he is doing good to himself and when one harms others he is harming himself -

You forgot that Truth exists before god. All Things holds the truth, You are the center of All Things. The center of the truth.
We are different because like atoms we can't be broken down any further than our original state.
