If you started your own forum what kind would it be. Any subject. I ame trying to start on on cooking around the world. My downfall is I do not know that much about how other cultures cook. (that is why I want to start one)

HOW they cook? or WHAT they cook?

My husband's family is originally from India. HOW they cook is the same way Americans do...on a stove in the kitchen (although the 80+ yr old grandmother has been known to make breyani outside over a fire). What they cook, on the other hand, is very different! They have curry for breakfast, for example, and cook many other things besides curry, like pakoras, galoob jamun, samoosas, breyani, etc.

When I was little, we had housekeepers from Mexico who cooked Mexican foods for us...again, on a kitchen stove.

I was once married to a man of Sicilian descent...I am now putting recipes on my recipe blog that I learned from his father...who learned from his mother who was from Sicily (today it will be stuffed shelled/cannelloni). Kitchen stove cooking again.

I was born in Sweden and I've lived in Finland, Spain and North America. I've also studied intercultural communication quite a bit. And why this relates to the food issue, is one of the key concepts:

"For all humanity the problems are the same, but their solutions are not"

I would start a forum on mattresses, pillows, comforters, sheets, blankets, and all things sleep related because it's something I have a hard time doing.
