We all wish we could go back and have a little fun with our past, with the current knowledge we have from our lives today.

If you could take what you know now...what would you do over?

But I didn't know then what I know now"

While growing up, I wouldn't have held back when I wanted to express myself. I wouldn't care what I thought was expected of me, I would have tried to be truer to myself. I think I would have learned a lot more that way.

I agree. I wouldn't have been afraid to embrace who I was! I would have had more confidence.

Would you be less worn out??
    1. wornoutwoman
Cute, BimmytheBookish! Possibly not. That is only due to lack of sleep and my insomnia issues.

As a young high school lad, I would be more appreciative and less disrespectful to my parents.

blessed1 !!! Hellooooo... good to see you here! I've been busy as hell and high water, barely finding the time for fun things like blogging and talking to friends!

To answer your question -- I would explore all options I have on hand before taking any decision, understanding that we live only once.

Hey Zakman...I was glad to see you on here too! I joined your neighborhood!

~*~*~Well said, Steve! "If I knew THEN what I know NOW, I would have invented Google!" Priceless!

~*~*~And Lozster, wow, that was the deepest and most beautiful thing I've read so far. Warm wishes to you and your children and your relationships with each other.

~*~*~And to the originator of this discussion, "Bravo!" Great basis for a MEME.

Experiences are priceless and lessons learned are even more important than doing things flawlessly. With that said, I think we shouldn't need to want to change the past, but learn from it.

Egads, I got this far, nothing is making me go back!

I would have invested in a start up company called Apple.

Or given Bill Gates 500 dollars to help start up microsoft
  12. PIF
Back in my Radio shack TRS-80 days, I was offered a chance to buy into MS at $19 - bah humbug - Bill who?
  13. Lozster
Nothing. All I wish for is to be a better person today than I was yesterday.
    1. wornoutwoman
      I hear ya Lozster....
      but that aside....for fun?
Is there anything you'd do just for fun a little differently?

I wouldn't be as afraid of taking risks. And I would have believed in myself more.

If i could travel back and meet the person i was 10-15 years ago i would smack him around and tell him to be more ambitious and goal oriented and stop being an idiot
    1. wornoutwoman
I think I would have done the same thing! I would smacked me around too and told myself to wake up!

I would have actively sought out guidance from people who were really qualified to give it, rather than relying on those who --while they meant well -- were actually pretty clueless. (I'm speaking here about professional matters more than about personal stuff.)

i would like to go back in high school and have the same mentality about myself right now. it seemed so hard back then to try and impress people, but having been older made me realize that there is really no point to it all. It just held you back from getting to know yourself more. I think it is important to give yourself more credit than labeling it as someone else to "fit in"
    1. wornoutwoman
      Amen to that.

I would value the time I had with family and friends. When I was younger I guess that I took for granted that I would always have everyone around. That isn't the case. As life chugs along you lose touch with people, people die and when that happens, there is no getting them back.

I would invest in Apple, I would have started Youtube before and also ebay and all those great companies with great ideas

I would have stopped myself from getting close to quite a few people and I would have started saving for a mortgage with my communion money

I would have planned better for the future instead of going with the flow.

I would have slowed down to enjoy my childhood. As an ambitious entrepreneur, I've always had my mind focused on the future, but as an adult, I realize the tremendous importance of treasuring today.

I would have taken a few more risks, and tried to allow myself a little more balance toward fun.

I would have taken back my vote in 2004. Voted for the The Decider.

I don't think I would change too many things just plan for my future better and prepare for what was going to happen to me
