There are more or less 7, 107 islands and islets here and it depends if it's high tide or low tide, so there are several things to do here, like surf, island hop, visit various tourist spots, among others. It all depends on what your interests are.
Filipinos are very creative especially when it comes to things where we can earn our living. So, we can be flexible enough to offer services which the foreigners will require of us. If the price is right.LOL -
Carl, you can visit all our wonderful beach here, especially Palawan, I'll direct you to my personal travel blog, (that I haven't been updating much lately because of piles and piles of pictures I have) You can choose wherever you want to go. earthexplored.blogspot.com/
Also, you can ice skate here :D, hike on live volcanoes! bungee jump, eat exotic food, dance the night away, etc. etc. anything you would normaly do where you are you can do here. Our country is very much tourist friendly.

Oooh! I have one!
My best friend for years was Filipino, and everytime I went to her house, not only was it cleaner than clean, there was rice cooking.
Day and night.
Is this common? -
ive seen an horrible documentary about abandoned child in manilla and how cops treat very badly these homeless children.. or some family living in trash and the government telling them it's illegal to use contraceptive that was kida tragic from a westerner point of view
-
That's the saddest part of our culture, though, our constitution states the "separation of the church and state", the goverment allows the religious sectors to influence the law-making body, especially when the issue is on family planning. Since, most of the Filipinos are Catholics, they obey what the church says.
The end result is: many abandoned and homeless children can be found on the streets, who will most probably become delinquents and problems of the society later.
In my own point of view, this problem can never be totally solved.

what are the best mouth for weather if i ever want to visit boracay beach?
do american/canadian (white westerner) are welcome in manilla or boracay, manilla and others?-
It's rainy season in the Philippines from June to December, sometimes even reaching February. But, of course, there will be sunny days in between. It's best to visit Boracay during March and April when it's the dry or "sunny" season.
Filipinos are known for being the most hospitable to guests, especially to foreigners. Strangely, people here will be a lot approachable and appear to be friendlier if you're "white", where you'll be often referred to as "Joe" (which could be attributed during the Americans' occupation of our country during the 2nd world war). -
Hi Tiger,
Everyone is welcome in our country as long as you are not a terrorist.
Well, all year round is ok to visit any beach in here especially Boracay but during August and December to January there's a lot of algae on the shore but still good to swim the water is clear and the sun is fine.
February is the bestest time because the algae's are lessened and there's not so many people unlike the peek season March to May.
There are lots of Westerners (White American) visiting our country , they make up the most number of tourist here also there are British etc.
I suggest you go to Palawan it's a paradise up there, then also try Batanes it's so gorgeous in there...
Anyone planning a trip here in my country can ask me I can refer you to good places and great prices. I so love going on trips all over my country and discover new places... that's my plan first tour my country before going out of my country... although I have been to some parts of Asia too...

Are all the people in Manila bloggers? I joined entrecard and I swear every blog seems to be written by someone from the Philippines especially Manila.
can i get some lumpia shipped to me? I am hungry-
Not necessarily. If you have meet a number of Filipino bloggers, it's because Filipinos are really trying hard to earn extra money while enjoying what we do. I'm sure you're aware how a 3rd world country, like us, suffers from poverty.
We're just too artistic and innovative to find ways and means to survive life...heheheh
lumpia originated from china, but of course, we have the best lumpia also here. hmm... -
Hey survivor,
I think the reason why most bloggers are from Manila it's because in the provinces internet is not that common. Although in major cities in other provinces there are internet cafe's everywhere. (like Cebu and Davao)
Manila is like the capital of the country and almost every household has internet access whereas in provinces it's very remote unless you are from Manila and you bought the wireless USB now available haha...or from a major city like Cebu and Davao
Hmmmm yeah lumpia is from china but well, there are different types of lumpia and there are some that originated here in the Philippines. I will give you recipe instead of ship you a cooked one unless you like to eat rotten food
