I'm addicted to my site statistics. Are You?

Hi, My name is Mitch, and I am an addict... Kind of... Alright maybe just a little... okay okay.. ALOT, but I can stop any time... well... just one more look...

Okay, I'll admit that I'm kind of a site stat addict. I log in, and the first thing I do is go check what the sites stats are. I take a break, check my stats, I get home and check my stats, I go to sleep and wake up in the middle of the night to go check my stats.

Its always fun to find out where people are finding me, what they are searching for, who linked me etc. Do you guys do the same thing? Am I the only one who constantly does this?

My newest vice is this live counter from whos.amung.us that pops shows a little counter of how many people are currently on your site. Where they are coming from etc. It pings the world atlas of where they are from, and what pages they are looking at in real time.

I'm almost tempted to remove the counter now, because I'm sitting here staring at this thing all the time. =P

Is anyone else as bad as me? How often do you check your site statistics?

Oh yea, I also check my statcounter, feedburner, analytics stats fairly often too. =P

I open up my statcounter first thing in the morning and refresh it about 3,721 times a day.

I have conquered my stats addition. I now only look at them once or twice daily. Previously I had woopra on my self hosted and it was absolutely top notch but I spent far too much time watching and became addicted so I uninstalled it.

On my free hosted wordpress.com I use the wp statistics program.
On my self hosted wordpress site I use awstats and sitemeter.

  Ah, I was wondering what you were using on your free WP blog. I also use the built-in statistics. Too bad they don't allow Google Analytics ... or, wait, that's actually a good thing. I'd be addicted!

  We can also use sitemeter. Be sure to get the HTML version and not the javascript one.

  Good for you TT. I think it will be a while yet before I'm cured I think though. =P I wonder if I have to uninstall the counters for me to stop looking too? But its soo cool to look at... And I need to go check it out again brb.

I love my google analytics! I check it all the time!! AND I also love seeing where people are coming from so I'm always on my blog looking at my feedjit map!!

Yes checking my web stats what I do first thing in the morning and the last thing at night. It is only overshadowed by checking how much money I'm making on my affiliate programs. Hmm how rich would we all be if we all dropped a penny in a cup every time we checked our web stats.
