..more accurately, I'm going to skin ten people's BLOGS.
Yup, but there are guidelines.
1. You have to have a Blogspot blog. I don't do Wordpress, I can but wouldn't do it for free, because it's a pain in the rear ya know. lol
2. I will then choose ten random people to receive their designs. They will be chose by the old fashioned name in the hat type of way, and yeah I'd do that, may even make a youtube video out of it, just to be fair.
So that's it. There aren't any strings attached either. My blog link won't be left in your design somewhere, it's free, and your thinking it sounds to good to be true. Well it isn't. I mean I'm not a pro at themes, but I can rock out some great designs, just ask any of my readers, or go to my blogs to see for yourself. I also only modify free pre-made themes. They are modified from 50-80 percent, depending on the skin.
I will say however, I would like to design blog for those people who don't already know how to design their blogs, and are clueless as to how to do so. So I will check out your blogs, and make sure that your clueless, (lack of a better term there), and that's about it.

That would be something that has to be coded into to a new template. I'm not familiar with it, but I don't think you'd lose your comments, if it were done correctly.

I'm disappointed to hear you only do Blogspot "css skinning". I would never go back from wordpress to using blogspot for my blogs. Blogspot is far too limited for my needs.-
Aww sorry TimeThief. I'd do wordpress, but it just takes a lot more time to complete, I chose blogspot blogs for this because it's ten skins, I can whip ten skins out in like 10 days if I wanted to. With wordpress it's different.
If you wanted something done in wordpress you'd have to have purchased the css package that would allow you to change the css of the design. At least that's what I assume, and what has been my experience. I'd skin ya some other time when this is all over, just holla at me.

when I first read your discussion title, all I could think of was:

So to the 6 folks who have jumped in on this.. listen up.
I'd like you to let me know your favorite colors, and what you'd like to see in a banner. Would you like 2 column, 3 column centered, or 3 columns off-center. Off center meaning sidebars to the left or right of your main content. Any taglines or anything that could potentially end up in the header, need to let known as well.
I think that's about it. It may take a few days up to a couple weeks for me to get to your design, so please be patient. It will get to you along with instructions on how to install it and whatnot.
It'd also be a lot easier if the communication about your designs could be done through email. You can email me by using the contact form on my blog. (chica-x.blogspot.com/2006/06/contact-form.html) If you snooze, you lose, so the sooner I get the information, the sooner I can get started. -

First of all The colors can be Blue and black (white too but in smaller proportions)
Just 2 columns
And in my banner you can use your imagination but the emblem has to stay and the colors have to stay in the Black, blue or a little white.

I did 4 skins yesterday, for the only people who emailed me, some haven't emailed, or some didn't put anything with their request except blog addy's.. Claire is the only one that is wearing her's so far. I should have screenshots for all of them when they are done. Whenever those people email me back that is..

Ok I think kat822 will be my last skin, I went on a frenzy of skinning everywhere, and I'm about skinned out. Some folks emailed but didn't leave the correct email, so I couldn't email them back, and it just wasn't too organized. Sorry to those who didn't get in on this. I perhaps shall do it again soon.

I would do the before and afters if I had them lol. I will though post screenshots of all the designs I did as soon as everyone puts theirs on. I have one that won't be on for a month, and the others, as soon as she replies to the emails, she'll get dressed, and waiting on crkian too hehe.
As for this being a learning thing for me.. I think I learned more about the people then anything else, which is just fine by me. -

Well I got something to do out of it really. I'd much rather skin someone elses blog, then drive my readers more nuts about changing my own. LOL A lot of my time on the computer is spent either skinning, working with my photographs, or blogging, after awhile it gets boring. I get bored easily too. Perhaps I spend too much time online.. lol

Just so you all know, you need to host the images yourself. I'm hosting all the images right now, but you all need to find hosts for them and change their url's in the code, if you need help you holla.

LOL Claire it's easy peezy. Look for this in your HTML:

Just replace that URL with your own. -
But what images do I save and replace?

Just your header. Everything else is just colors.
It's really to unsure the permanence of it, and if you ever wanted to switch it out, you could, because you'll know where it's at, and how to do it. -
