I've been a market trader for six years and it really is a test of endurance but I've battled on and enjoy knowing I've encouraged regular custom and made people happy.

It's a very sociable life and although I don't earn a lot, I love the lifestyle - despite the rain, wind and freezing cold. I've learnt a lot about myself and other people.

What have you done that has made you proud of your own efforts?

My art and what I have achieved so far in terms of artistic growth. I earn practically zip in sales of work, but I can't stop making art.

I love art too, it is the most satisfying thing to do. Selling isn't easy I know. Have you checked out the saatchi gallery online? www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk, you can advertise you work there for free.

Thanks MarketTrader, saatchi is great opportunity, been on there of a couple of years now, hasn't translated to much in visits or inquiries. I am thinking of creating a sales website with a paypal and shopping cart, but reality tells me that is a lucky shot too. I just don't create appealing marketable stuff, and I can't create bread and butter art for the masses, so I live with it.
