Topics: child abuse, copyright infringement
This really isn't shameless blog promotion:
A few weeks ago I wrote a post about child abuse I went to a site barbarany_9.blogspot.com/2009/04/april-is-child-abuse-prevention-month.html
And there it is my entire post was lifted. If I tell them hey you didn't ask permission please remove it maybe fewer people will seek help. If I leave it maybe another person can get help. If it had been any other post I would have dealt with it immediately. What would you do?

I would let them know that even though you are somewhat okay they copied your post because you feel it important to get the message out they might consider how it could hurt them. In other words a friendly bit of advice about copyright infringement and how it could get them in trouble with others and with blogger.

I think coming from the angle of helping them avoid trouble might help, and maybe suggesting they redo the post so as to not cause confusion or give the impression they scraped and copied. Maybe suggest they redo the post that has a quote from your blog entry and a link, but not the whole post of yours.

I second SweetViolet in regards to don't let "I stole your stuff for a good cause" be ok.
No one should swipe an entire entry without permission, ever. Even if they give you 'credit' and a link, taking an entire entry and posting it on their site without permission still crosses the line. Others may disagree with me on this, but what I would want is a small quoted blurb of what I had written and a link pointing to the full entry on my site. Period. (Unless I had given full permission ahead of time) That keeps it simple...... -
Well, I wrote twice. After the first time I wrote she posted my email. Cyberbully? She's a BC member grrrr...

Not hard to find:

Ironically, they use copyscape how convenient. Lol! She has used copyscape a lot. Said she can't use it for the month.

@Shirely
I would do exactly what I do with every violation of my copyright. The details are found in this post.
Splog Off! Dealing with content theft
onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2008/05/10/splog-off-dealing-with-content-theft/
First I contact the content thief demanding that my post be removed and that my copyright policy stated on my blog be honored onecoolsite.wordpress.com/copyright/
- It clearly states, in part:
"Copyright © 2007 – 2009 All Rights Reserved
All content in this blog created by the blog owner is the property of the blog owner and protected by U.S. and international copyright laws and cannot be stored on any retrieval system, reproduced, reposted, displayed, modified or transmitted in any form, electronic or otherwise without written permission of the copyright owner except as noted below.
A brief excerpt of content (up to 50 words) may be quoted as long as a link is provided back to the source page on this blog and the authorship is correctly attributed."
If the content thief does not comply then I send a detailed DMCA complaint to their web host and I persist until the web host either compels the content thief to remove it, or the web host accesses the blog in question and removes it.
Also note the Blog Catalog TOS contains specific copyright provisions that you ought to become aware of because you do have a recourse to report this to Admin here as well.

ACTUALLY ON the page --- SHE DOES CREDIT you...
Your link is right above.
Did you see that? I didn't know if you did...
She did give proper credit - although it is not in total TEXT --- she did give a hyper link.
It's kind of NOT THE WHOLE story kind of link up... But it is there..
Just thought I'd let you know.
I would have her remove the EMAIL link - because spam bots are going to take control of your email inbox soon... LOL!
Anyhow - take care. -
I didn't look at the posts but I'll tell you right off the bat - her posting your exact post word for word will get one of you penalized for duplicate content. This is considered splogging and should not be tolerated.
If what wager says is true (I didn't look) and there is a link on the post to your post with the same content, then it's OK.
I agree with you, since this is an important issue maybe it's best for the world to leave it up. But I promise you, it's best for YOU to have it removed.
Hope this helps, I've seen you read and comment on my blog, I've got your back if you have any other questions or need some direction. TTs resources above should help, she has dealt repeatedly with sploggers-
@Shirley
I spent from Monday to Friday last week chasing down blog content thieves. They stole several of my best posts from both blogs. In one case they even stole the image in the post which I had bought and paid for. I'm behind in my blogging, commenting, answering comments, reading email, and reading my feed reader thanks to these feed sucking parasites.
Like codesucker has said duplicate content is an issue. Do NOT give up - persist until they take the content down. BTW if the site has advertising on it report them to all their advertisers because the advertisers do NOT allow their ads to be placed on sites that violate copyright. This is stated in their advertising contracts and policies as well.

Make a DMCA complaint to her web host!
They will either compel her to take it down or do it themselves. Some web hosts don't mess around if she fails to comply they will delete the entire sire and then ban her. Next they will share her identifying information with other web hosts so they will not host her site either.

I clicked on it again and got this search.suddenlink.net/index.php?httpURL=http%3A%2F%2Fbarbarany_9.blogspot.c...
does this mean it's gone?
