Can you imagine?
That is my question. As we all age, does our imagination leave us? Does your work interfere with your imagination, or do you get challenged at work to use your imagination effectively?
How vital is a healthy imagination to a blogger?

I wish i got to use it more in my day job but it's my imagination that could lead to good inventions like the new cement mixer I invented. I am going all the way with it so use your imagination it's your best tool.
As a blogger you need it even more to do great posts now i am not saying make up posts but the ways you deliver them. -
I'm a 43 year old gemini and an artist.
I felt like schooling undermined my creativity - lopsided on the analytical side. Since then I've put a lot of effort into making myself creative.
In typesetting and design work I was limited by software abilities, deadlines and cheap clients. I was crushed when a politician had me create a logo he was going to merely xerox.
When I taught art I always had to have a plan B, C, D, E, F . . . so there was some creativity there.
As for my art. The ideas come faster than I can create. Fleshing them out can be painful sometimes. Not all of my works turns out like I think they will. Other times I surprise myself. Imagination is only the beginning really of the whole process.
I use the little 5" x 8" lined yellow Office Depot pads to generate ideas, lists, etc. My house is littered with them. Usually I work intuitively. I just have to dive in and work. Then there's losing the particular pad I need .
My family has fits with me and my siblings. We're the kind of folks who start using something without reading the directions. You know, we just dive in.
Imagination is useful for keeping a blog fresh. After a while just doing something the same way over and over and over . . . you get the point . . . is just soooooooo dull. Sometimes I do fall into a rut with blogging. And then I'll come up with a different idea for moving forward.
Now I need to go look at the questions again . . .
