Hello everyone.

Hope you could participate in this discussion,
My questions:
What would you like to know about Indonesia? And/or any other country?
It can be anything from people, entertainment, politics, or current events.

The rule is: You have to ask a question about a country. That's all.
And feel free to answer any question concerning your own country.

For instance.
I'd like to ask people in America,
Is it hard to be an American? You ARE living in the most powerful country in the world, inevitably the world is watching you Americans really closely (vice versa). So, is it hard, feeling you have to be a bit more responsible than everyone?

Let me start. I come from Singapore right next door to Indonesia. We have seen the problems with politics and how thousands of Indonesians flocked to Singapore to earn their living as domestic maids. My Grandma employs one and she is such a great person!
I'm just wondering why the cultural divide between the Chinese and Malays in Indonesia is so great (or at least from our perspective).
And can you enlighten me about the current political condition too?
Do most youths still think of migrating overseas?
Do Indonesians that have ventured out return to their homeland to contribute to the economy?
    Cheers!!!

Hmm, nice question... actually, the cultural divide is not so great. We Indonesian, have a lot of culture, and we still can life together with harmony (except maybe just one or two frictions). Nationalism maybe a lil'bit problem for us, since some Indonesian people ventured abroad and not returning back. But, I believe, deep inside their heart, they still love Indonesia.

im also indonesian.actually indonesia is a very very rich country for oil, farming, spices, cultures, ethnics, and many other things.but unfortunately most people who lived in indonesia are not eager enough and high spirited to change their mind and life, and make use of everything we've got.as for people who work in other country, they're just trying to survive and earn more money with the dream of better living.the most important thing to be changed is the government, the policies, and mostly the way of thinking.i love my country but we're still need to try harder to be better.take the potentials to the fullest.

I am blogging about Indonesia. There is a huge misconception in the world on what Indonesia is really all about. I created this blog about Indonesia to remove this false views and present the real Indonesia to the world. If you are fellow Indonesians or expatriates that has fallen in love with this country, I am calling out for help to spread the word about this article that I wrote so the world may see as who we are. Please digg this!
