I came across this story. (See the below for the link.) It is about a Wal-mart employee whom was only doing their job. They came across some kids "bath tub" photos and reported it to the local police.

It raises an interesting question... Is it child porn? Or is in an innocent act? Should it be legal?

Poor customer service skills. That's what it is. The employee should have consulted the manager before making such hasty decision.

Clearly innocent, and I shudder to think of the harm done to these children (which was, at least, less serious than in the last case like this I recall, in which the children were removed from their home for six months).

Having worked in family law and represented children deemed in need of services, it makes me ill that resources are wasted and families irreparably damaged in cases like this while we hear that there's nothing to be done in truly egregious cases. Maybe we wouldn't have disabled children starving to death in their own waste and such if the people who so vigilantly pursue cases like this were willing to get their hands dirty with the ones truly in need.

A good example of how things get totally out of control, the kids have been away from their parents for a MONTH, probably living with strangers and all over innocent bathtime photos, seriously this isn't kiddie porn! The cop and walmart need to have some inservice into what constitutes child porn, and couldn't this have been handled better, hell kids are left in homes where CPS have been called several times and not removed and later end up dead.

I think they should have investigated better first !

Oh dear. If these people would see our family album from when I was a kid, I wonder what they would think. Some time ago people thought nothing of a nude child, it was a completely foreign concept to think that someone would see them sexually. Now that's all they think. When a father hugs his daughter in public, there are some that think he must be abusing her... I mean this is what happens when people get obsessed with a fear of something.

I'd say those pics are innocent pics.

Ah...instead of helping those children, they actually penalized them by taking them away from their parents.

Just another clear example that our kids really belong to the state and not us, which is obviously wrong.

    Big Brother/Nanny State indeed!

    Fail

I guess this is just a lesson learned; don't get your photos done at Wal-Mart, cause their freakjob employees LOOK AT THEM!
