Insulted by comments again

Topics: insulting comments, iron city sucks, what do you do

Ok I have this person that leaves me really nice comments every time I post on Iron City. They call me a third grader and a lot of other things.(cant print it here) I have to make my comments where they have to have a name on them when they start. I like to set it up where any one can leave a comment. I hate having to change this. I normally just let peoples comments alone. What they think is ok with me.

Do you get insulting comments and what do you so with them?

I have been deleting them as they are pointed to me and not my blog in general. I figure it is someone involved in all the BS here.

Oh and a little update on that. They burned down the store of the owner that spoke out against them. He shut down his buisness due to them harrasing his customers. Now his store is just a few concret walls and that is it. They are trying to force the other business out and that will only leave the council members business. They had a meeting last night but I did not go. I have retained a lawyer so if they start with me again I can go that route.

Let them blather away. They make themselves look like asses, which makes you look rational by comparison.

I get plenty of insulting comments. That's why I moderate them. My blog is not a Democracy. It's my own little world where I'm clearly the boss.I like to be a dictator, it makes me feel Important.

That's what DELETE buttons are created for.

I never get any rude or nasty comments on my blog, thank goodness. I would start moderating or banning people if it became a problem for me. I don't have to put up with that on my site.

I agree with HTR and Angelawd that I would just delete the offensive comments, unless they need to be used as evidence of something like harassment, for the future. I mean, really, it's your blog.

If the comments aren't advancing the blog discussion, and they're personal as you say, then you're well within your right to delete them.

I don't get many comments... a handful a week or so.. heck I would even take a few rude ones just to know people are reading my blog. lol Seriously though.. I would just delete them as well. Dont get into a name calling match with them. Like my grandfather used to say, never get into a fight with a pig.. you both get mud all over you and soon no one will be able to tell which one of you is the pig.

  lol I like the pig comment. We raise pigs so that is fitting. I havent let them get to me but it is just annoying that I have to fix the comments where youhave to sign in to leave them. I am making a post that says I am smarter than a third grader. I just have to. I do not know what it will be a bout yet but it is there now and not going away.

You should save all the comments in a separate file and then post them all along with an award for douchebag of the year. I would also block and post their i/p address.
