Ipod or Domain?

I'm doing a contest where i'm giving away an ipod nano and a lot of domain names. www.bloggernoob.com/ipod-and-domain-giveaway/12/

It got me thinking. We are all webmasters here. What would you rather have. An ipod, which doesn't do much for you webmastering. Or a hot domain name that is worth as much as an ipod?

  haha. figured u for the ipod. I guess the marketing team at Apple are super good. I'm not big on ipods, but i love my Iphone, and imma get the new 3g either today or sunday. Depending on the lines.

the chances of one single individual having a "hot" domain that i would want is slim.

  Well, I think it depends entirely upon what the domain was and how it related to the person's business. I guess I'd take taser.com or bankruptcy.com over an iPod, but once you get into the general then I don't really need either and it's more a matter of which is easier to pass along as a gift or resell...which is probably the iPod (at least for a woman with three teenagers)

it's all relative I guess .... I registered a new domain that I think is worth a gajillion dollars and is 4 characters .....

2Yrd.com (too wired?)

Realistically, it's barely worth the $9.04 it cost me to register it most likely

  $9.04???? u realize u can use a godaddy code to save 3 bucks on registration right? you can register it for $6.95. i like LLLL.com. or NNNNN.coms. not big on mixed characters.

  $9.04 is actually the canadian value it's $8.95 .. two dollars isn't worth it for me to use GoDaddy - who I detest immensely. Although, I do have a godaddy account .. when I bought a few domains, it helped speed up the transfer process that let me transfer to my registrar afterwards.

If they were offering iPod Touch, I'd recommend that. Anyone can buy an $8 domain, buy iPods are $100+ new.

  a 3 character dot com fetches over 200 dollars. ipod nano is $150. i'd take a 3 character dot com any day. ipod touch is sweet tho. i have an iphone, and trust me, i love surfing the web in bed on my iphone. wifi works great on it. so ipod touch is worth the price.
