Iranian girl Delara Dabari executed, despite decision for stay of execution by the High Judiciary.
A truly sad occassion. Total disregard for even the most basic human rights. May she rest in peace.

if you don't believe in Jesus, can you get any peace after you die? Even if you believe in Jesus, it is still not guarantee that you will get any peace after dead.
-
What are you saying? Why are you saying that there will be no peace when you die if you believe in Jesus?

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
This is why I said so.

You know what I did? I should have NEVER done it either!!! It has messed my head up for a loooong time!!!! Every-time I think about it won't leave me for days!!!!
I watched the Nick Burg murder, and to this day,I can't fathom WHY!!
I'm getting the shakes just talkin' about it,is that normal?-
no,the internet,it was actually my hubby who downloaded it.
Nick Burg was a missionairy, and went to Iraq to help the Iraq people rebuild schools and just help. He was there on his own accord not army not contracting just helping!
He was beheaded by insurgents on video, his parents actually saw their baby boy being murdered

It is too late to save Delara but please read this site to understand what is going on in Iran:

Now I understand... I made some typos. What I meant to write was (and is): '...I do not know what is normal. I do know that a story like this can give one the creeps and the shakes. This poor girl has been treated like dirt, nazi-style. She must have gone through sheer hell in her last few moments...'

happens all the time. Nothing can change that.
The US has tried and guess what, if we try again the rest of the world labels us war mongers and world police wannabes. If we don't do anything, we're heartless. I for one have seen similar things in Iraq which the kind folks of 3ID have put a stop to and the thanks received were roadside bombs. I no longer care -

Religion wasn't the issue, apparently she confessed to murdering a relative to protect her boyfriend from going to the gallows and then recanted.

Texas has executed 13 juvenile offenders and it was only 2005 that juvenile executions were stopped. Now instead they just keep them on death row until they are adults and then execute. So here is my question. Doesn't it seem a little hypocritical to shout out against the conviction and execution of admitted murderers (there are lot of them here too who recant confessions) in other countries and yet live in a country that does the same? -
jafabrit: Absolutely.
Are justice system is not all that either. She did confess to a murder at one time.
Not to mention here justice is quirky - in PA for instance you can murder an immigrant and get away with it.

I grew up in a country that also abolished the death penalty (by the way Turkey also abolished it) and I have never changed my view of it even after 31 years in America. I am against it period.
I am just wondering if the Americans complaining about this Iranian girl supported or were indifferent to the executions of juveniles in the United States. Do they support juveniles going on death row and being executed when adults? It seems this is being used as a political means to lash out at Iran rather than really care about the issue of executing people.

With the current shortage of Iranian women I wonder how long can Iranian's as a people will survive. Maybe the men will impregnate themselves and give birth.
With a lack of women that country is already dead. -
The things I've seen go on are just pathetic and disgusting. One of the more sickening things is that we over here in the United States have a tendency to not be aware about these events, or even make an attempt at awareness. The world is not as cozy as many make it seem and we aren't as safe as people always make us out to be. With all the bad there is a lot of good though, and taking a step at helping others, even if it's just by making them more aware like this thread is really important. Thanks for sharing this

There are several organizations in which one can be aware of global issues on human rights.

Breakdown of countries that have abolished capital punishment and those that still execute.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Use_of_capital_punishment_by_nation
A country that has capital punishment is in no position to lecture others for doing so in their countries. It is hypocritical for individuals who support it here in the United States to turn around and criticize other countries for using capital punishment also.
SO yes, I agree, awareness and taking steps to help is important, but it means starting at home and taking a stand against executing people EVERYWHERE.
