Iranian girl Delara Dabari executed, despite decision for stay of execution by the High Judiciary.

A truly sad occassion. Total disregard for even the most basic human rights. May she rest in peace.

Visit the links down in the article - they lead to English language sites about Delara Dabari and other victims of Iranian 'justice'. Real eye-openers as well.

  3. jflower36
    What happened?
    1. Kobolito
A young girl, condemned to death on very dubious grounds, was executed despite a stay of execution granted by the High Judiciary. The rule of law doesn't seem to count in Iran.
    2. jflower36
      What were the dubious grounds?
    3. Kobolito
No convincing evidence to name but one. Being a minor at the time of the supposed crime.
    4. jflower36
      Could you elaborate?
  4. 86john
if you don't believe in Jesus, can you get any peace after you die? Even if you believe in Jesus, it is still not guarantee that you will get any peace after dead.
    1. HollytheHousewife
That's all you have to do to get to heaven, the bible says so,and heaven is peace.
  5. jflower36
What are you saying? Why are you saying that there will be no peace when you die if you believe in Jesus?
    1. 86john
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

This is why I said so.
    2. jflower36
      Ok, now I understand.
    3. HollytheHousewife

I'm getting the shakes just talkin' about it,is that normal?
    1. jflower36
Watched it on t.v.? What was it?
    2. Kobolito
I do not what is normal. I do not that a story like this can offer give one the creeps and the shakes. This poor girl has been treated like dirt, nazi-style.
    3. HollytheHousewife
no,the internet,it was actually my hubby who downloaded it.
Nick Burg was a missionairy, and went to Iraq to help the Iraq people rebuild schools and just help. He was there on his own accord not army not contracting just helping!

He was beheaded by insurgents on video, his parents actually saw their baby boy being murdered
    4. jflower36

    2. HollytheHousewife
@kobo I do not what is normal I do not at that a story like this can offer give one.....I'm not sure what your saying
    3. Kobolito
Now I understand... I made some typos. What I meant to write was (and is): '...I do not know what is normal. I do know that a story like this can give one the creeps and the shakes. This poor girl has been treated like dirt, nazi-style. She must have gone through sheer hell in her last few moments...'
    4. 86john
and for the rest of her soul
  9. jflower36
So it seems she was executed for murdering her father's cousin. I wonder what evidence they had.
  10. HollytheHousewife
    @kobo,yes pure HELL
    1. Kobolito
We must appreciate the fact that we live in freedom. We have to be careful not to lose our freedoms and human rights. Fascism is alive and well...
  11. HollytheHousewife
    OH HELL 2 THE YEA!!!!
  12. reasonablerobinson
    Shocking. Threatening. Disgusting.
  13. HollytheHousewife
I really really can't comprehend the mindset of a person like that
  14. ArsenicCookies
happens all the time. Nothing can change that.

The US has tried and guess what, if we try again the rest of the world labels us war mongers and world police wannabes. If we don't do anything, we're heartless. I for one have seen similar things in Iraq which the kind folks of 3ID have put a stop to and the thanks received were roadside bombs. I no longer care
    1. Kobolito
That is a tragedy in itself...
    2. HollytheHousewife
I know, I just really can't wrap my mind around that
    3. Kobolito
It is something no sane person can wraps his or her mind around. It is a very primitive act of revenge.
  15. HollytheHousewife
I mean what is the purpose really???
    1. HollytheHousewife
in that kind of religion it's ok to kill someone in the name of god,I don't understand it
    2. ArsenicCookies
in all religions it's ok to kill someone in the name of God.
    3. HollytheHousewife
yea,but my god forgives me for my sin,why do they think it's ok to kill someone for adultry,or defaming the family name. That's what I can't figure out
    4. jafabrit
Religion wasn't the issue, apparently she confessed to murdering a relative to protect her boyfriend from going to the gallows and then recanted.

      Report by Amnesty International
      www.amnestyusa.org/document.php?id=ENGNAU2009050110452&lang=e

Texas has executed 13 juvenile offenders and it was only 2005 that juvenile executions were stopped. Now instead they just keep them on death row until they are adults and then execute. So here is my question. Doesn't it seem a little hypocritical to shout out against the conviction and execution of admitted murderers (there are lot of them here too who recant confessions) in other countries and yet live in a country that does the same?
    5. Kobolito
Jafabrit, I live in a country that abolished the death penalty in the late 19th century and only revived the dreadful practice for a short while after WWII to execute a few really horrible nazi-butchers. So I keep shouting as loud as I can against injustice and disregard for basic human rights.
    6. cooper
      jafabrit: Absolutely.

Are justice system is not all that either. She did confess to a murder at one time.

Not to mention here justice is quirky - in PA for instance you can murder an immigrant and get away with it.

    7. jafabrit
I grew up in a country that also abolished the death penalty (by the way Turkey also abolished it) and I have never changed my view of it even after 31 years in America. I am against it period.

I am just wondering if the Americans complaining about this Iranian girl supported or were indifferent to the executions of juveniles in the United States. Do they support juveniles going on death row and being executed when adults? It seems this is being used as a political means to lash out at Iran rather than really care about the issue of executing people.
    8. jafabrit
OMGosh Cooper, they got simple assault for beating a young man to death. wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. HollytheHousewife
I gotta run and pick up my girls from their yaya's but this is a good thread,I'll be back soon. I'm interested in what other people think.
  17. Jeunelle
With the current shortage of Iranian women I wonder how long can Iranian's as a people will survive. Maybe the men will impregnate themselves and give birth.
With a lack of women that country is already dead.
    1. Kobolito
If they could, they would. At least the fanatics that hold women in lower esteem than their cattle. Sadly the world is full of people with mindsets like that.
  18. Bl3ssed
The things I've seen go on are just pathetic and disgusting. One of the more sickening things is that we over here in the United States have a tendency to not be aware about these events, or even make an attempt at awareness. The world is not as cozy as many make it seem and we aren't as safe as people always make us out to be. With all the bad there is a lot of good though, and taking a step at helping others, even if it's just by making them more aware like this thread is really important. Thanks for sharing this
    1. jafabrit
There are several organizations in which one can be aware of global issues on human rights.
      Human rights Watch
      www.hrw.org/
      Amnesty International
      www.amnesty.org/

Breakdown of countries that have abolished capital punishment and those that still execute.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Use_of_capital_punishment_by_nation

A country that has capital punishment is in no position to lecture others for doing so in their countries. It is hypocritical for individuals who support it here in the United States to turn around and criticize other countries for using capital punishment also.

SO yes, I agree, awareness and taking steps to help is important, but it means starting at home and taking a stand against executing people EVERYWHERE.
    2. Kobolito
Jafabrit - I am against the death penalty with one exception: child killers.
  19. Bl3ssed
Jafabrit, that's a valid point and I agree with you entirely
