Is Entrecard discriminatory?

Do you thinks it's OK that entrecard accepts only blogs 100% in English.
Obviously it has nothing to do with being understood by a US audience since a blog in 2 languages like mine would be just as fine.
I think it's discriminatory.
What do you think? Here's my bilingual blog: www.leblogdelamirabelle.net
Not monolingual enough!

to be perfectly honest I found the alternating French and English on your site a bit confusing and not very attractive. If you are seriously trying to reach an English speaking audience I believe you would be better served by having two blogs, one in French and one in English. As for Entrecard, it's very "has-been" imho. You are not missing much by being excluded.

Entrecard is a passing thought that went away for me a while ago. You might consider it as a fond memory.
-
I didn't even know entrecard did that. But like others have said - I think it's a passing fad. I found it to be of little benefit for my blog, anyway. The rating and pricing system seemed to be arbitrary at best and the whole thing is very time consuming for little traffic.
I focus now on BC, Twitter (sometimes) and stumble. -
LaMirabelle--I didn't even know your blog was bilingual--and I have visited your site a couple of times. I just went there now as well--and don't see how to translate it. What am I missing? But the point is, if I can't see/don't know how to translate your blog into English, then other readers will surely be having this same problem (since I don't think I'm dense). You might want to rethink the notification you have for translation. where is it, by the way--

Update: Okay, I just took a closer look and see now that you have the English translation below the French version. I think that is going to be lost on a lot of people--because I usually only look at the first post and if it's not in English, I leave. This is clearly what happened to me. -
Ok I can't change that.
The title is bilingual and I usually write "Article in English below" before the French article.
But thanks for taking a look! -
That's interesting, because I joined Entrecard on Sunday, was approved yesterday, and now my traffic has doubled. I have done virtually nothing.
Of course, that might just be initial boost. I got the same initial boost from joining BC. And it's not hard to double my traffic. I don't get a whole lot to begin with. -
I had 334 cards dropped on me yesterday. That doesn't sound like EC is such a bad thing.
And, many of the droppers leave comments and become regular readers.
I understand the "English only" rule as EC is free. They have standards as to content, keeping it more or less PG-ish. If they allowed other languages, they would need to employ workers to ensure that standard is maintained. That could turn into a hassle for them. -
I hesitate to post this, as I don't want to promote vindictiveness or bitterness. I am not bitter, and I am not interested in failing to turn the other cheek.
I was just going through BlogCatalog to remove myself from all things "Entrecard" and this discussion was returned in the search results. I am not leaving the following information all over BlogCatalog.
I am removing myself from all things Entrecard because Entrecard very recently deleted my blog for literally standing up to defend Jesus against an atheist attack by one of Entrecard's moderators. Entrecard banned me for "attacking" its moderator who came to my site and leveled a personal and anti-Christ attack. I have posted about it on the blog but won't supply the URL here, as that's against BC's TOS.
It constitutes religious discrimination – something they say they don't do. If it were an atheist network, I would certainly say nothing about their not allowing my blog. They do allow blogs identifying as "Christian." However, they obviously have discriminated in favor of their atheist moderator in my case.
I had suggested a new category on Entrecard (main or sub) for Atheism. For that, I was banned. I also had had awful, apparently unique experiences with advertising. I was very open about it all. I was open for the sake of Entrecard users. If you wonder why a Christian would be on Entrecard, I was there to get the word in front of people. I was not there for personal gain. I'm not in it for the money.
The fact that my blog was deleted will be good news to atheists (some; most), but the question here is "Is Entrecard discriminatory?" I realize that the sub-question here is more focused on the issue of bilingual blogs, so I will chime in on that.
The English-only rule is for easy moderating. Text in other languages could not be easily checked for TOS violations by voluntary, unpaid English-only moderators.
I would not ban bilingual blogs where the blogger says the translation is word-for-word or sense-for-sense. I would grow the community and rely on multi-lingual members to monitor each other and one another. That's consistent with my religion.
Real Peace -
Tom,
The Entrecard mods and admins at this point are mostly immature children who seem to have No Clue about how to treat customers or run a business. Many of the high quality defectors are now over at cmfads.com -
Thank you for the information. Someone mentioned a "Chris." I asked to be pointed to this Chris, but the other party is very busy and perhaps just hasn't gotten around to it. I'm wondering whether the Chris in this case has anything to do with cmfads.com.
I had seen the turnipofpower.com website post about Graham (Entrecard founder) allegedly having impersonated an Asian female blogger on his own Entrecard forum. The allegation is that he was acting as his own shill. Graham never denied it. However, we don't all have to deny every claim against us. Now, I saw cmfads.com on Turnip, where I was intending to return to follow up.
Some might think that I should just back off as a Christian and not jump from the frying pan into the fire. I'm a new breed of evangelist though. I don't fit the current mold at all, hence my non-popularity.
As I stated on my site, Graham is young. Everyone deserves a second chance. According to my religion, every earnestly apologetic soul deserves 70x7 opportunities. That doesn't mean Jesus cuts us off at 70x7 plus 1 though.
Peace and Love to All,
Tom [no last names allowed, but I didn't see that before I submitted my user name]
