recently i was having one of those catching up chats with a friend of mind and after the usual small talk i started drifting to the thing that really interests me, wealth creation. i started talking about stocks, wall street, mutual funds and the like and this guy fell silent. then the bomb dropped: he didnt know what mutual funds were! this really shocked me and i didnt even know where to start in the explanation and the strange thing is that he is a college student in his early twenties! i tend to think that people in their twenties should be interested in making money but apparently they are not. so i did a really short post on mutual funds @ kenyantykoon.wordpress.com/2009/09/18/i-bet-you-dont-know-how-mutual-funds-... to try and start explaining. is he one of the few that dont know about mutual funds and other investments or is this ignorance more widespread? have your say
