See, I don't get people that doubt global warming. In a sense it's like smokers who don't "believe" that smoking is actually dangerous. That somehow it doesn't apply to them. So no, of course it's not "fake".-

The solar cycle is reportedly past its peak and we are more likely heading for global cooling in the coming decade.
If you, and especially the goevernment, should worry about something it is the disappearing bees. Gee, I wonder why they don't bother about that one?

Global warming is happening. I just question if society is to fully blame. I haven't really looked into global warming as much as I would like too. If I recall a reading correctly, it stated that, global warming was bound to happen. That it is a trend that was sped up a little by society. -
I'm agree with you. And believe too but some discards saying that data which prove global warming, are generally of usa or nearby.

Considering you believe UFOs deposited dinosaurs on the moon, your scientific credibility is, shall we say, suspect. I would recommend you stop consulting supermarket tabloids for news before you try something as complex as this.-

The world is obviously warming and the polar ice caps are obviously melting. The only question is whether that is a natural phenomenon or is being caused by pollution. If it's natural, we can't do anything about it. But if it's not, and it's our fault, we have to start cutting down on emissions. Do we really want to wait until it's too late to do something about it? -
The Tundra ice cover is vanishing, fast exposing the decaying dung of woolly mammoths, dead since ages. The amount of methane expected to hit the atmosphere is severe and could fast track the warming process. If tundra is not some thing you are interested in then I recommend your favorite skiing resorts. Any glaciers you have known. Most of them are receding.
Those who claim its not happening are like silly cats who put their heads into the milk jug and think no one is watching me.-

Why are glaciers growing? Quite simply, global temperatures are dropping.

In September 2007 according the NASA GISS (Goddard Institute for Space Studies) data, the South Pole winter has cooled about 1 degree Fahrenheit over the past 20 years. Ice levels on the Antarctica continent are now at the highest level since 1979 when satellite recording first began." -

Your first link is from 2007,a lot has changed since then on the global climate manipulation front. As a side note, Greenpeace never mentions chemtrails, which really doesn't speak in their favor.
Ok, your second link confirms the situation, although one of mine points out that some glaciers are growing (in 2008). I understand where you are coming from.
I'm thinking the Himalayas is suffering from a lack of positive action.

Oh of course global warming is fake!The polar caps are melting just because I barbecued some burger patties yesterday. And all the fish are dieing because Jack and Rose spat in the ocean from the deck of the Titanic.Tigers are becoming extinct because my dog ripped my cousins Tigger stuffed toy.There is drought in Sudan because I told the rain to come this way so that I could skip a day of college. Seriously!
I mean, is something as far-fetched as global warming be doing all this?
YES IT IS.-
I believe it was a great way of accepting the dangers global warming is posing.

First off, the idea that glaciers are retreating is just the latest piece of false hype on the global warming denial front. Check out the deSmogBlog.com for more details.
Second, the recent hoopla about global warming 55 million years ago disproving the climate models and therefore we can call off the climate change crisis is wrong. The report says exactly the opposite: it may be worse than we think. See my recent post on the blog of PlanetRestart.org.
Finally, the real difference this time around with climate change (which the vast majority of scientists accept as happening) is that there are 6.7 billion of us crowded onto the globe, more than ever before. Millions of people live near coastlines that will be affected by rising sea levels and millions more will be affected by intensified pattens of drought. Check out the April 2009 issue of National geographic for a couple of good articles on that front. -
Thanks to all who has recommended me. I never went to polar ice caps and even antarctica. But what I am seeing in my surroundings one can easily guess that global warming is happening. And I'm not living in deserts. I suggest hurveyavatar to see the infrared photos of globe sent by satellites and to visit ipcc.org for better information. I think like you some don't believe in global warming and doing nothing to check global warming. News was saying some glaciers are still growing not all.

Ok, when I get skin cancer due to the huge gap in the ozone layer I'll know whom to sue.-
Not sure how you got that from my post. I would love to stop global warming caused by human activity but that probably isn't going to happen fast enough to avoid at least some of the effects predicted by the various climate models. BTW, thinning of the ozone layer, that really has nothing directly to do with global warming but now that it is here the two certainly interact with each other. As for suing me, I would defintely be looking for deeper pockets.

Sorry about associating global warming with the ozone layer but you know it really gets to me that at one point of time, every time I go to play football on the beach I'm gonna be slowly killing myself.

* it is caused by human activity; and

On the other, those who stand in denial of climate change have failed in the last 15 years to produce a single, peer-reviewed scientific journal article that challenges the theory and evidence of human-induced climate change.
By all means, read the junk science sites that deny the reality of climate change. But then check on www.sourcewatch.org to see who paid for those opinions.-

Mars lost its atmosphere and they didn't have a society to contribute to global warming. Nobody was living there. So it probably can be caused by many things probably other than us doing the damage.
People are making a fortune off of this which makes me have my doubts about it.
This could wind up being like buying real estate with no-money down. That is why everyone is still working I guess.-

Global warming is not fake! It is man made, and I'm going to tell you why. It is the lack of cfc's, remember Chlorofluorocarbons? Sure you do, they were found in such products as styrofoam and aerosol cans. If you will recall in the late 80's early 90's science told us they were causing a gaping hole in the ozone layer, and there were millions of South American's dying of skin cancer because of it. Well, we cut the use of such products, the hole is fixed, and now it's hot as hell in here. Why you ask? That hole was venting the Earth. Don't believe me? Here's a fun experiment you can try at home, kids ask your parents permission (say it's for science).
Take a digital oven thermometer, place the probe in the oven.
Place oven on broil.
Wait five minutes, then write the temperature of the thermometer down (This is called data).
Now take a hammer and hit the oven's viewing window as hard as you can, make sure you make a hole (this may take multiple swings).
Wait five more minutes, and record the new oven temperature.
Compare data.
Which was cooler with or without the vent? Yes, the one with the vent was much cooler. I propose punching a new hole in that ozone, and global warming will be gone for good. So what if the South Americans die of cancer, we've already got their chocolate. What else have they ever truly contributed to the world?-
The trouble with IPCC statements on global warming arise because the accuracies of long range climate models predictions are low due to the chaotic nature of the atmosphere-ocean system, and natural forcings are difficult to represent in climate models.
