Most people perceive happiness as a destination. I don't. Happiness is a feeling that is found in the small things of life.

I have come to fairly agree. "Happiness" is not so much a destination as a realization. As a fellow AA member said, "Even if it's a lousy day - at least I'm here to experience it!" I can usually find a moment to hang on to. With gratitude.

yes, it is a destination.. and after reaching it (after a short journey), people, not knowing where to go next, look for trouble

For me, happiness is a location: my heart. I wake up happy everyday, I fight happy, love happy, etc... No matter how bad my day or life gets, I am still happy inside.

my husband and I are finally divorcing FOR REAL! and Agi I am still happy, not bitter or anything. I am singing, playing, dancing with my kids and living life.
My secret is simple. Every time things get hard and I can't deal, I remind myself that things could be worse: I could be dead and not get to experience this pain. I am afraid of death so my happines to be alive feeds my daily happiness location and spreads through me and even reaches out to those around me. I am like a ray of sunshine, lolZ!!!
